Difficulty \ "Legend \" (XCOM 2)
In general, I'm trying to play on this difficulty, it burns for me to say notably, I go through the mission at best with 5-10 saves, well, if it is without losses. Already on a mission closer to 10, the number of saveloads increases to 10-25, no kidding, so sometimes you have to go through the mission for 2-3 hours. So the question is, am I such a rach or is it like that for everyone? It seems that I always take full cover, I try not to open the flanks, well, in general, some kind of play tactics, but one hell of a thing doesn’t work. On YouTube, I saw the passage of the legend + ironman, so there people from the 1st attempt complete all missions not only without losses, but even without injuries, and we are talking about each mission.PS I ask you to refrain from negative things like: "You are a rachin and that says it all, you don’t want to clutter up the forum" - I’m just interested in the opinion of other people who play the "legend"

Norm. I'm on a mission veteran for more than an hour going through with a dozen reboots, so that without losses. And sometimes I got into such situations that well, just nothing. You sit and break your brain how to steer the situation. As a result, I started the mission from the very beginning. The AI is actually great. In general, the second part was just right. I especially like the total destructibility.

Are you sure that this is not a cheater who corrected the characteristics of the soldiers in the ini file?
Ex_Vandal
I'm not sure, because only in the 1st episode it is clear that the legend is, and then a completely different complexity is possible, because too beautiful and clear everything is there.
What a video

Oh, my Legend burns sometimes.
I got into the story mission to the factory for the production of soldiers, from where you need to evacuate the prototype, almost plucked all the hair from the buttocks: 2 sectopods (~ 30 hp, 6 armor, a bunch of abilities, 3 action points, etc.), 5 mechs, 5 serpent, 2 shield bearers, codex, sectoid, advanced officers and soldiers of all sorts. And reinforcements at the end. And I have magnetic rifles, regular snipers / heavy weapons and no armor. Overcame several hours, 1 killed, 5 seriously wounded: D But -4 to Avatar.
And so, on average, 30-40 minutes per mission, in the infirmary there are rarely less than 10-12 fighters, but so far only one fighter has been killed in the mission described above - two specialists in the team, one of whom is a medic-lieutenant with a nano-first aid kit, help.
NPhysicist be
strong) we at Veteran cheer with all our hearts for you and people like you on Legendark)
On the veteran, I pulled out hairs in some missions because of the timer, on the legend I won't even start - you can turn gray.

maybe I also played with the terminator then. Damn, I'll solve the problem with starting the game and check)
smaizy Can I boot
on the legend? I thought there was only 1 save, per base. What a twist.
smaizy
This dude really has a legendary difficulty and even a terminator, it can be seen from the armor and lives of the enemy, it's easy to check. And yes, he has straight arms.
It seems that many do not understand the essence of the "Terminator" mode, there are no downloads or save, you can only exit the game, but entering again you will find yourself in the same place of the battle and the legend or other has nothing to do with the difficulty.
Yuri Tuboltsev
terminator has nothing to do with difficulty, it's just a feature that prevents you from seiling, that's all, well, yes, there is a save after each move, I am aware of this, but it does not seem to increase the difficulty by itself ...
I have about the same result, maybe a little better, but in general I am also a rachian :)
smaizy
Passed the terminator legend about 50 times. I restarted the game 30 times in 1-2 missions. But in general there is tin. Although by the end of the game it lets go a bit. But the fart burns well.
smaizy
It is necessary to think 40 times on the terminator before walking . If a soldier is injured to you, he will go to the hospital and you will go through the mission without him, which increases the chances of dying or getting another injury. And without a terminator reload, everything is ok. And there are many other points. The difference is enormous.
Sergey Buvaka,
I'm wondering how you fought with sectopods and heavy meks on the terminator? Amy grins, hacking?
smaizy
By the way, sectopods are not the worst thing anymore. I had a machine gunner (grenadier in the left branch) with an accuracy kit and a chance of instant keel. So he had a hell of a dislike for them, I don't know why, but with a 15% chance, he put a one-shot somewhere every 3rd sectopod (and other fatty heresy like a gatekeeper). But in general, amy, disconnection or stasis (by the way, a very cool skill) while you bring down a trifle, and then calmly with the help of cutting off the armor (in my case there were 2 grenadiers in different branches) it lays down for a round. As an option, you kill the enemy with an oetzinger and substitute him for a sectopod. The most difficult thing is the first two months until you pass the first mission where they attack the resistance camp (I often have the whole squad there) and moments when mutons and andromedons just appear, why- then I have problems with them all the time.
