Where to buy games not tied to Steam?
Since we are in the previous topic went that the incentive can only be rented, then where to buy. Gog.com not the same.Elite User
the author of the video is concentrating special attention at this is Passed to the right does not give rise to any title or ownership rights in the Software.. The point is that the rights of ownership belong to the developer, as a rule. Excerpt from another text: Right of ownership in the software is usually owned by the developer of this software, whether company or individual, and the user acquires only a license (right to use) the software on the agreed terms and conditions.. So I'm not sure that the author of the video correctly understand the phrase ownership. I just never thought of purchased the game as their property. I can not dispose of them as you want. Can't sell, transfer. Only use. And so not only the incentive - everywhere.

Well, in the end it's not the same? If Gabin was a man, he would have given permission to have the game as the owner, and consider it nothing more than a rental, if steam goes down, Valve does not owe you anything. Here it is, capitalism!

Gabin may not give rights that it does not belong. He's just the retailer from its service. like if you bought a sofa, and it would tell you it is cleaned regularly sellers.
Actually, I have more from this line strained to use this Software, You must have an Account on Steam, and You may need to run the Steam client and maintaining a connection to the Internet.. But it is clear that all in on that. Just it is unknown what role this string will play in the case of closing steam, it will not exist in the Steam application itself.
Actually, it's quite a complicated situation. I think steam is in any case will not be closed. Or accounts just will bind to other services or something. Such a huge base can not sink into oblivion.

Gaben should give the rights at least part of its service, since I pay for it. The consumer always has the right to their product, otherwise total piracy will occur.

what you want right? the right of ownership, right of possession. You have the right to play the game, what else do you need?

then don't buy the game to the incentive, what's the problem? I'm not thrilled with origin (and uplay. but uple meyan there are 3 games. just from yubisofta habit not to do a dedicated server, and push all this curve AUTOFIT rivals. and only their server). and don't buy there games (even the games out I don't particularly like).
there is Gog, where there is protection. but I doubt that Gog will be your machine to download the patches and provide a convenient interface for any fraud with the community and workshop.

Gog is not stable, it is a service of a different level, there is the strength of maybe a million users, when the incentive 10. So dumb to buy there, the more the problem is not the incentive, but the fact that where is the guarantee of all these digital stores, where is the guarantee that I will be able to play the game I bought in 2014, when it will be 2024. After all, there's nothing that could resist all these services to close tomorrow and not give anything in return.

And what's the point??????? To stop the flow of money and you couldn't play once there????????
