Lags on laptop (Alan Wake)
Hello everyone. I decided to run Alan Wake on a laptop. Here are the specs:Intel Core i7 2GHz, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GT 840m 4GB vRAM. And at low settings, everything lags wildly at a resolution of 1920x1080. Is there any way to fix this?
Most likely, the laptop, when turning on the game, uses the built-in intel video reader, and not a discrete graphics card from nvidia. But there may be other reasons as well.

Is there a problem with other games? Are the latest drivers installed? When was the laptop bought? To what temperature does the system (GPU, CPU) heat up under load (can be checked with the AIDA64 program)? When was the last time you cleaned the dust from the radiator grill?

Battlefield 4 runs on medium settings. I did not check how much it heats up. The laptop was bought in December 2014. I also played on the second computer. Its characteristics are intel core 2 duo 2.33 GHz, 2 GB DDR3, GTS 450 1 GB VRAM. And there the game performed well at high settings.

just launched it on my laptop (it seems to be even weaker in hardware, although the screen resolution is smaller). At high settings, it gives out in the region of 20fps, but there are no lags that interfere with the game (by the way, I have a shaitan-dual graphics from AMD). Maybe this topic will help you:

Strange, the link did not help me. I did everything the same - the result is 0. The brakes remain.
