Star Wars: Battlefront Preview by TUPPENCEMAGAZINE
It's been a long time since we saw an impressive Star Wars game. But DICE has once again set the world on fire with the announcement of Star Wars Battlefront for next-generation consoles and PC. Apart from a very short teaser trailer, which you can watch below, and a very brief DICE press conference, there is little to say, but it makes us wait for the project with bated breath until we get the desired bits of information or gameplay.

Star Wars games have always been a big part of the gaming industry for a long time and are absolute classics, from people with memories of Star Wars shoot-em-up platformers on the SNES to the adorable Rogue Squadron and The Force Unleashed 2 series. Star Wars Battlefront was pretty much of that legacy, with the original creation of the first battle-based first- and third-person adventure game that moves the player into some of the key, and not so much, moments of the movie saga.

Narrative

Information about the Star Wars Battlefront campaign is sparse at this time. Apart from the fact that we know that it will unfold within the SW universe, with which characters we know and love, in what period, and how it will fit into the narrative of the saga, we do not yet know.

However, we can argue that the game will not be a sequel to the 2005 Pandemic game - Star Wars Battlefront II - it will be a full-fledged relaunch of the series, starting from everything, including the narrative, from scratch. We expect that the game will be woven from various battle scenes from the films, with the help of which it will fit into their plot.

Gameplay

What do we know about the gameplay of Star Wars Battlefront? Well, first of all, the game is being developed by DICE on the Frostbite 3 engine, so perhaps you can imagine a first and third person shooter equivalent to Battlefield 4 with a Star Wars setting. Instead of abandoned cities or snowstorms at the foot of the mountains, bullets and knives piercing your armor, you will have Coruscant or a conquered Hoth as a battleground with blaster shots, lightsabers and the power of the Force.

You will be able to control both individual characters from the series and combat vehicles that we know and love, with all their arsenal and weapons. DICE said they will bring some new vehicle mechanics to Battlefront applied to ground attack vehicles, aircraft and spacecraft, so the combination should be quite impressive.

If the previous two games in the series are the way to go, the gameplay will be a mix of first and third person views with individual character capabilities and vehicle controls. It will be based on a battle between factions, which will fight each other in various game modes from destruction to capturing the flag.

Most likely the game will have a campaign mode. But nevertheless, the real test of the game will be the multiplayer. If it can draw a clear line between the mechanics of Battlefield 4 with the Star Wars concept and the Battlefront concept, then it can be a very cool game.

Graphics

While the trailer doesn't show us how the game will feel or look, it does give us an idea of the high potential it has. However, more importantly, we can rest assured, based on Battlefield 4, that Star Wars Battlefront needs to be very detailed, have great rendering, a massive background with far-out space, and an ever-changing environment that will create a new, ultra-realistic level in Star Wars.

DICE promises “mesmerizing high quality,” “amazing special effects,” and a “next generation” experience for the 2015 relaunch. And with the teaser trailer, and what we see in Battlefield 4 now, we will not argue with them.

We'll find out more in the coming months as DICE and EA Games begin to reveal more details, and possibly gameplay trailers, in the near future.

Stay tuned for the latest news from the world of Star Wars Battlefront!

Tell us what you think the potential of this game is.

Star Wars: Battlefront: Everything We Know
So far At the moment, there has been a complete lull in the Star Wars Battlefront camp. And this is right after the MakingStarWars portal told us various details about the game, which at the moment are just a rumor. However, this portal is known for its reliable information, even among rumors. After all, it was thanks to him that we found out on what day John Williams is recording music for the trailer for The Force Awakens, and when JJ will show the trailer itself.

However, we will not go into details, but rather let's take a look at everything that is currently reliably known about Star Wars Battlefront.

Star Wars Battlefront is being created by Digital Illusions CE (DICE), the creators of all Battlefield games (except Hardline), based on the Frostbite 3 engine. Platforms on which the game will be released have not yet been announced, but there is no doubt that it will not bypass XBoX One, Playstation 4 and PC. To create the game, photogrammetry technology is used - a technology with which you can create models and objects using photographs and photographs.

And that's why the DICE team got access to the LucasFilm archives: to capture the various devices and models shown in the film in order to transfer them with all accuracy and accuracy to the game. And authenticity and accuracy are exactly what it takes to make us want to play Battlefront. After all, the main part of all games, and even more so Star Wars, is the atmosphere. You should feel that you are directly involved in all the events that take place on the other side of the screen.

And nothing allows you to feel like a protagonist as much as a single player campaign. Which, by the way, according to the assurances of the developers, will also be present in Battlefront. And not only that, the plot of the single player campaign of Star Wars Battlefront will be canon. So DICE is working closely with LucasFilm and Disney to give us a memorable story.

Let's add on our own that there is no need to doubt the plot and storytelling of the DICE campaign. They know how to make a single player campaign. Due to the fact that Electronic Arts at one time declared Battlefield a competitor to Call of Duty, many expected the same dynamics from the Battlefield campaign, an abundance of scripts as in Call of Duty. However, DICE has a more measured gameplay, a coherent storyline, thanks to which we get a really good single-player campaign in Star Wars through the eyes of, perhaps, an ordinary soldier, as was the case with Republic Commando.

Let's move on to the multiplayer. DICE in the case of Battlefront decided to slightly change their concept of multiplayer. In this regard, in the game, some multiplayer maps will be tied to certain game modes. Imagine that, for example, on the map Endor: Bunker there will be no capture mode, but only attack / defense of transmitters, and the last line will be in the bunker itself. This is a very crude example because I hope DICE has changed, or somehow improved or personalized the modes for Star Wars Battlefront.

Star Wars Battlefront will also appear on the Battlelog service, which has long served the likes of Battlefield 3/4 / Hardline and Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Nobody denies that in the summer there will be a beta test of Battlefront, the chances of participation in which you can increase by doing everything as written in this article.

The game itself was planned for release closer to Star Wars The Force Awakens. This is winter. However, in a recent interview with IGN, DICE said the game will hit store shelves this fall. Since Battlefield 3 and 4 were released at the end of October, it is possible that Battlefront will be released in much the same way. And maybe in winter. We'll find out soon enough.

As prices for games on Origin have increased, you can expect Star Wars Battlefront to have 2 editions, just like other EA games: Standard and Exclusive. The price of the first will be 1999 rubles, the price of the second - 2499 rubles. The second edition will most likely include some additional materials, possibly a free addition as a bonus.

As you can see, there is less than a week until spring on the timer, and it was in the spring that DICE promised us to show us more Battlefront. At the beginning of March, on 3-6 numbers, the GDC exhibition will be held, where developers share their experience with each other and demonstrate their best practices and innovations. Since DICE loves to show their games at this exhibition, no one denies that in early March we will see the Star Wars Battlefront gameplay, which, according to rumors, will last as long as 15 minutes.

We can't wait. Stay tuned for the latest Battlefront news!

After acquisition by Electronic Arts publisher rights to produce Star Wars games from Disney, Star Wars Battlefront was announced at E3 2013. The game is being developed by the Stockholm studio DICE. The game is being developed on the Frostbite 3 engine, and is a relaunch of the Star Wars Battlefront series of games. The game will be released on personal computers and next generation consoles. On May 7, 2014, it was confirmed that the game will appear at E3 2014 in Los Angeles.

At the E3 2014 exhibition in Los Angeles, DICE brought only a trailer for the development of the game, in which they boasted of their collaboration with LucasFilm, as well as trips to the filming locations of the Original Trilogy and the Star Wars Museum, to collect all the necessary materials that can help make the game as authentic as possible ... Only small excerpts from the game itself were shown. It was promised to show more in the spring of 2015.

It is still difficult to judge what awaits us, since there are no videos and even screenshots of the gameplay yet, and there is not much information on it. But personally, I am convinced that the game will turn out to be awesome. One has only to remember the second part, blasters, swords and my favorite battles in orbit ...

So when should you expect information on Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)?
So there were two exhibitions in a row: GDC and PAX East. And none of them did not show the Star Wars Battlefront we were expecting. So when will we see the new information and video?

The calendar spring has already arrived, 2 weeks have passed since its beginning. Astronomical spring has not even begun yet. It will start on March 20. However, since DICE did not specify exactly which spring they will show the game, we will not speculate, they may even show tomorrow.

The next possible airing date for Star Wars Battlefront is during the Star Wars Celebration, which runs from April 16 to April 19, which will bring together many actors from both the old Star Wars trilogies and the new one. So it's likely that Battlefront will be shown during this holiday.

A possible option as to why Star Wars Battlefront isn't showing now is because Battlefield: Hardline isn't out yet, and Electronic Arts wants to wait so as not to squeeze sales from Hardline. Although Battlefront differs from Hardline at least in its setting, in our opinion, for such a price people would prefer to take the new Battlefront rather than Hardline, which practically does not differ from Part 4.

And now there is a complete lull among the news on Battlefront, so we have no choice but to wait.

However, we follow the news on Battlefront very closely, and as soon as something new comes out, you will be the first to see it. Don't switch!

Electronic Arts is coming to Star Wars Celebration!
Star Wars Celebration will take place April 16-19 in California. And it's possible that EA has a gameplay cutscene and new information on Star Wars Battlefront in store for Celebration. If you're following the news, you'll remember that EA recently held a private show of Star Wars Battlefront to the guys at GameStop.
It is also possible that Electronic Arts is announcing and may even show other Star Wars games that are being developed by Visceral and BioWare. But the only thing we're looking forward to is Battlefront.

But so far, no one claims that we will only see Battlefront at Celebration. There is still a whole month before it, and if the main video is for Celebration, then a teaser trailer may be released to warm up interest before it, as was the case with Battlefield 3/4.

Look forward to!

I hope there will be a single? If so, then, unlike the Hardline, it makes sense to buy if the systems are not transcendental.

M
Maxim Klinkov 25.11.21

I personally will not play fucked up nafig all the
cool graphics and more and more nothing I did not see
where is the space ??? where are the droids and clones ???
40 people on the battlefield just for a single person, then this is not enough about the grid, I generally keep quiet and all the same the
game was stupidly sharpened under the network

S
Sem ... 25.11.21

MaRtKuS
Maximum on the map will be up to 40 players

S
Sem ... 25.11.21

I don’t understand why it was called Battlefront 3, for me there’s nothing to do with the second part. They called it Battlefront 3 and the people were delighted, they thought the old Battlefront would return in the new graphics, and we would get some kind of unripe miscarriage, 20 to 20 people on maps that can be counted on the fingers of one hand, as well as the equipment on them, without fighting in orbit, not a planetary capture, not a plot, not to play for droids, everything that was best in the second part was cut out, and they also want 2,000 for this, then there will still be add-ons that will cost 500-600 rubles each. Nafig such star wars!

M
MaRtKuS 25.11.21

Well, we'll see when it comes out

V
Vladislav Rudskoy 25.11.21

I know that the game is 8 out of 10 draws.

v
vitalik76 25.11.21

This is overkill. Now, if the game originally came out with the amount of content promised in DLS, then it is still possible.
