Working on my FreeRide (Mafia 2)

I want to stir up my freeride, which is fundamentally different from those that I have seen, with an economic model.
Basically freeriding is a set of missions that can be performed in a free sequence. If not, correct me.

My idea is that there is an economic component of the underworld: bought and sold on the market, the difference is in your pocket. The market in this case is a controlled territory, bought and sold is the purchase and delivery of something illegal (smuggled booze, weapons or drugs) and its subsequent sale to the local population (bots) at the "points". The punks work at the points, the punks are controlled and guarded by the overseers (lads with the leader) in the districts, several districts belong to the boss (bosses hang out in institutions in the center of the district - a bar, a hotel, etc., the rest are in the fields). Everyone in this chain receives their% of sales by paying a "tribute" upstairs. Another type of earnings is banal racketeering - i.e. monthly collection of tribute from lads from legal institutions.

Those. the boss is subordinate to those who are engaged in supplies, those who monitor sales in the districts and the ringleader of the lads. In turn, they directly subordinate the drivers who deliver the "goods" to the warehouse, the punks who sell this product from the warehouse at the points and the lads.
Our hero starts from the very bottom (punks, carrier or brother) and gradually tries to take control of a part of the territory, moving either through the hierarchy, obeying the boss, or putting together his own gang (hiring his suppliers and selling goods, but being attacked by the brothers working for the boss).
At the first stage, the role of the police will be passive - only in the framework of road accidents or violations on the street. Then you can improve (round-up to points, interception of goods, etc.). Also, in the future, the ability to fill an arrow with a competing boss to buy territory or stupidly disassemble who is stronger .. You

can write this with scripts, IMHO.

How do you like the idea, is there any point in bothering? Has anyone met something similar? What difficulties can there be in technical implementation?

Great idea. But you need to well cut the lua scripts of the game. As for the engine, I think that this can be implemented.
After all, initially there were opportunities for a more advanced economy, from buying newspapers to apartments and cars.

Everything is done by scripts, even the fact that the game did not imply sometimes modders implement it in games.
