XBOX 360 Controller emulator (SOMA)
(gamepad defender) read something about the emulsion. The game may look for the file xinput.dll, not only as xinput1_3.dll, so if the emulator did not work, try renaming xinput1_3.dll to: xinput1_2.dll, xinput1_1.dll, xinput9_1_0.dll. I tried it, but maybe someone knows how to solve the problem, except for the purchase of the xbox Controller 360Ps, other games work normally.

where did the file itself throw?, Try in the root folder and in the folder with the exe file
I have the tenth Windows and maybe that's why the emulsion didn't want to work normally right away. He kept prescribing some other executable in the properties, not soma.exe.
I took soma.exe and the 64-bit version of the emulator, copied it into one folder, started the emulator as administrator. Emul created the dlls that you need - then I copied xinput1_3.dll four times and renamed it to xinput1_2.dll, xinput1_1.dll, xinput9_1.dll and xinput1_4.dll, all this stuff was thrown back into the folder with the executable and the game - the gamepad worked.
PS. I have a GOG version of the game.
