When did you get your first computer?

My first personal computer appeared in the year 96-97 (I was 6-8 years old then), for some reason the name flew out of my head (although I always remembered it very well), but I remember exactly that at startup, DOS was launched first, and then from under it we launched Windows 3.1 (not 95 for sure) and such games as "Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion" and many others, he stayed with us for a long time, somewhere before the release of Vice City on PC in Russia, because it was the first game on a PC with a CD drive) UPD remembered, the percent was DX486) UPD UPD: write more about the first games on PeKa, mine, for example, "Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion" as I already mentioned, I don’t remember the rest by name, I remember just playing an action game like Duke Nukem in 1991

I took the first system unit at the end of 2006, (GF7600 256 MB, 1 GB of RAM, single-core athlon 2.2. GHz) on it and played most games until 2012, before that there were no electronic devices at all

I was born in 1993, this year my older brother was bought a Spectrum computer, he was 10 years old then)

When I was 6 years old, I went to school and studied English in the first grade, I liked Latin characters.
around the age of 7, when my brother came home for the winter holidays (he studied at the University in his first year as a programmer), I asked him to teach me to do at least something on the Spectrum. It was difficult .... I stopped being interested because it didn’t work out, but when my brother came, my interest in programming immediately rose)) Somewhere around the age of 13-14, I already specifically started programming on it. Learned to write music and games in basic.

Around the age of 16, I gained access to a computer which most of you would consider your first. It was a computer based on Win XP.

In December 2001. I was then 11 years old. Configuration: Intel Celeron 667 MHz, video card NVIDIA GeForce MX MX 400 64 MB, 40 GB. I don't even remember how much RAM there was - either 128 or 256 MB. My brother was then only 8 years old, but he quickly figured out everything (dad bought a lot of books about computers). I installed Windows 98. A month later I demolished it, installed Millennium. They used it for several years until they switched to XP (both systems were on the computer for a long time).

In 2003. There was some kind of Celeron, Geforce FX 5200, 512 RAM and 120 gig hard drive. So-so was not bad for that time, but after a couple of years an upgrade was already required. The upgrade did not take place until the new computer in 2010)) The worker is still standing, although no one has been using it for a long time.

At the end of 2000. Then I was in the second grade. Mother dragged from work. Then I didn’t fumble about it, I remember that Pentium II, but a hard drive, like, 10 gigs or less, and Windows 98. NAM and Deus Ex games were already on it. then they installed Windows ME and didn't see these games for a very long time. I didn’t remember the name of DeusEx, I couldn’t read it) But what happiness was when I found the game again on the Internet, already in 2006. The strongest and most pleasant feeling of nostalgia, this time passed delving into the plot)

Year somewhere around 2002
Doom 3 in 2004 missed my pitch -I had perfect Doom3 on Intel Pentium3 700Mz, GF 2MX 32mb, 512 RAM. The truth is at the minimum settings and 640x480, in my opinion.

Damn, you read the comments and you are amazed. In 2003 he played, and in 2007 he already has nostalgia, you see

And I have in August 1995. P1. It started for 3 months through DOS, and then they installed Windows 95. The first and still the most favorite games are Fade to Black, (Crusader no Remorse, Crusader no Regret - exclusively went under DOS), Strife.

In 2003 he played, and in 2007 he already has nostalgia, you look. And every year I suffer from nostalgia.

SevDelta - Until 2002, my computers were exclusively based on computer science. Well, I still went to the game libraries. But there were all the Prefixes up to the Sony Playstation inclusive, which for some reason I sold the fool.

And every year I suffer from nostalgia. - So the meaning of nostalgia is to nostalgic for what happened a long time ago.

I also have a Sony Playstation, it’s good for him, now when there is Note 2, although this is of no use, if only to call and take a picture.

SevDelta -I have all the game discs that were in principle in our city. Now it’s completely different to play on the emulator, there is no interest. Although Nightmare Creatures 2 is set up, it didn't pass at the time due to a bug.
Speaking of nostalgia. This> video shows very well what my childhood was like.
