Grips and wrestling elements (Sifu)

Did I miss something? Are there no grappling and grappling moves in the combat system at all? Only finishing off a lying down fist...
In many "fighting games" and "bitemaps" captures and throws are effectively used against a blocking opponent.
(in sleeping dogs there are generally a lot of throws or captures of the enemy with a series of blows; even in batman there are crushing takedowns with the capture of an arm or leg and a broken bone)
