If you go to a bookstore on the main square of Novigrad, where magicians are burned, then the local seller will tell you that someone left a book for you. Having found it, you find in it a letter with a signature from a certain A. A - Alvin, or the Master of the Burning Order.
In the first part, he was the "main villain".
According to the story, Alvin was, like Ciri, a child of older blood, Geralt defended him, but at one point Alvin disappeared. Apparently, he left such a message to the witcher after he moved in time.
