Performance drop.
I use a laptop: Monique 120 hzi5-8300H
GTX 1060 6gb
RÃM 16 Gb (dual channel)
Once I downloaded the game and after two hours of playing the computer got very hot, really very hot. I decided to turn it off and logged into the game the next day.
I saw the following situation:
Previously, games were running at maximum settings with high fps and smoothness, without vertical synchronization.
Now they all give out high fps, but the picture constantly breaks and at 250 fps the game just lags and there is no smoothness, smoothness appears only when vertical synchronization is turned on. However, I noticed a feature, if you limit the fps to 60, then the game goes to 30 fps, although 60 fps is clearly visible on the screen. And this situation in all games, the same picture, regardless of the settings.
What I did:
15 times restored Windows both completely and with saving files (IMPORTANT: I did not reinstall it via a USB flash drive) I
checked for antiviruses, everything was deleted.
Yesterday I changed the thermal paste and cleaned it.
Reinstalled all drivers.
Nothing helps.
Everything was fine before.
I've been struggling with this problem for over 3 months with no solution. Like I'm the only lucky one in the whole world.

How busy is the processor during the game? How loaded is the video card? Temperature of the processor - video card? Why don't you want to do a clean reinstall of Windows?

By the way, I wanted to clarify before doing a clean reinstallation, are my files from the HDD (not a Windows disk) deleted?

No, the OS volume is deleted, formatted and Windows is installed on it, and all other logical or physical disks remain in place.

Let's clarify, a clean installation is what it is, this is when the C drive is where Windows is mainly located (depending on the partition selection in the installer), everything is installed cleanly, if you do not touch the D drive, for example, it will save all the files in it, and so in general, before a clean installation, you can transfer it to a USB flash drive or to the cloud or to another hard drive, anywhere, everything you need that you don’t want to delete, and then format all the disks and specifically install Windows cleanly.
