4k TV and games in 1080p
Comrades experts, I have a "problem": I have a 4k TV set, a PC is connected. Video card 1660 super. It is clear that she does not pull out new games in 4k60. I can't play at 30fps. Reducing the game's resolution to 2k looks tolerable enough. But some have to be reduced to 1080p. And this is horror, the picture is pixelated very strongly. Tried to poke around in the settings of the telly, but did not achieve any sense.Perhaps something can be done through the Nvidia panel or Nvidia Experience, there is a lot of garbage and I really didn’t figure it out. Does anyone understand this kind of thing? How to set up so that the picture is not so disgusting.

I would like to look at the statistics, I have not yet met the guys on the HDD.
No one needs your ssd. On good, without bads and slow sectors, a clean hdd will be no worse than any heaped m2 in any games on powerful hardware.

with regards to hertz against the diagonal. I can still understand the diagonal, although a large diagonal at close range should need at least 60 fps due to the fact that the angular dimensions between the points of movement of objects during the transition of frames will be large.
but small screens at 120+ hertz caused me misunderstanding. they need expensive hardware and play games at medium and low settings mostly. most AAA games are not designed for high fps and at best 60 usually. Animations are recorded at 60 frames per second usually. sending packets to servers in multiplayer is unlikely to exceed 60 times per second. maybe in some battlefield some more times the player's position can be asked for leave. therefore, to reach the server ringing limit, you need a little more than 120fps.
When I had a powerful pitch and was strong in body and spirit I had such fun. I mean, I recorded a video of about 90 fps, I took it re-encoded and slowed it down by 3 and 6 times and watched what was happening there to an invisible eye accustomed to 30 fps - and there was shaking animation, animation joints and almost no t-poses. ai delays and other krinzh are visible. Animations now of course have become better, most likely they have restructuring not exactly on animation frames, but on mixing every frame. but nonetheless lol peck cake. formula 1 is certainly a good car, but it needs special roads for 350 km-hours and it’s not very comfortable and practical to ride it every day.
regarding TV sets - in fact, I have not seen a TV with bad upscaling, because this is a mathematical operation. my mother has a 4k TV there, everything seems to be fine, but I didn’t really test it. I have an old cheap tv where upscale can look better than native full black - because it can't just take and draw pixel by pixel like that. there is a sharpen, which for some reason cannot be completely turned off. from which any pixel has a shadow. Also, the colors still change depending on the number of colors on the screen, I'm not sure why, maybe because I tried to calibrate it and there is no contrast. there is a stabilization function that can give dirt and stratification of objects that the feature of TVs is a type of analog noise feeder. and you can watch streams from 2 small meters. I played a little on it when I got a full HD, but with the digital outputs of the video card on a monica that does not support full HD, it was not possible to fix it - in general, my impression of the TV as a monitor - well, that's it. good TVs like monitors are possible, but they will cost space money for ips with rgb under 90-99. takes up a lot of space on the desk; the computer desk does not fit with speakers. Don't forget to turn it on and off with the remote control. some inconvenience but the screen is large and you can play without light. Guys, I sorted out the topic, talked heart to heart, so to speak. True, old Samsungs have a terrible processor and image scaling. Sony - excellent hardware, but high imput lag, at least on the KD43X81JR version. It doesn't have a game mode. The new Samsung series on a VA matrix look good and have excellent hardware, but the price of the issue is from 55 thousand. With regards to upscaling to 1080p, it didn’t seem very good to me, but you can pick it up in the modes and you can pick it up. The ski is rejected nafig - lousy prots, you can not approach. Budget variant - Haier, I tried it, good scaling, and even without a game mod there is already imperceptible imputlag, everything is smooth and clear. Iron, they say, is stolen from Samsung, but since this is not such a rich brand, it is cheaper by 20 thousand, the issue price is from 35 thousand for 43 inches. Without a computer, this is normal not to test. But already it looked quite acceptable. The picture is great. Matrix VA, both samsa and Haier. FIG knows how in games, but the delays should be less than IPS.
Briefly speaking. Now 4k TV is a headache, you need to disassemble the topic directly severely. In particular, look at the place or test 14 days at home. But they just look great! Better than any monitor, of course. The picture is bright, juicy, delicious.
If you don’t need a headache, then of course it’s better to watch a monitor, there’s enough in a single TV, the dynamics are gaming 144Hz +. I'll still try, as he is, in fact. For I really need inches, but 60Hz is enough for a single. I choose 43 or 55, I think not to overpay for the Samsung. But everything needs to be checked and clarified.
Be sure to check on the spot, as is. Or drive at home, clarify all points. A sore subject, even from the point of view of a TV home, because YouTube videos, generally series, channels, films - all this has a different format, and it is important that the percentage of the TV can digest this matter with high quality.
It remains to understand how the games will look on VA (it seems there were problems).

What is there to understand? For these purposes, there is DSR, set the resolution to 1080p, turn on DSR at x4.00x, set the resolution to 1080p in the game. Profit.
In older games, you may have to reduce the clarity and sharpness to 50% or lower, see how it looks in the picture. For example, fall 4 on my monitor is generally impossible to play in 4K, the textures flicker. You reduce the clarity and sharpness, and the norms.
For these purposes, there is DSR, set the resolution to 1080p, turn on DSR at x4.00x, set the resolution to 1080p in the game. Profit.
if you do this, the game will render in 4k and compress the image for full black for better smoothing.
since the TV normally shows its 4k but the camp does not take them out, this makes no sense. dsr is needed in order to have a supersamplung on full chd monica as if you are playing in 4k or 2k, therefore, in fact, such a render will be and the pixels will be compressed along the envelopes, which will give the highest quality picture at the actual cost of more load.
here the situation is described such that the image looks kalo in low resolution and the native lacks performance. It was about cross pixel interpolation. if for some reason it is not of high quality, then you need to apat non-karat resolutions and the dsr will not work if it is connected to a screen to which there is already a resolution to which you need to downscale (at least for me).
so here actually option 2. render in 2k or full chd through dsr, while hardware limiting the maximum resolution that the screen can use. and this is a special hemorrhagic. and after that, compressed (with anti-aliasing) 1080p or 900p is actually sent to 4k while having soap. but if there is a scaling problem on the TV itself, it will go away.
option two - if the problem is not in the hardware upscaling of the TV, but in the soap, then you can use the screen position setting at the wrong resolution as an integer - then you can get rid of the soap and get large, clear pixels, provided that the matrix can reproduce them.
well, the third option is to use upscaling like dlss. here is an up 1080 render in 4k for example, and satisfied bakers report performance improvements since the game actually works in low resolution for them, but due to smart upscaling it looks better than native hardware upscaling. but the expected video card does not hold it and not all games hold it, so tra-ta-ta and ololo.

Of course 960 does not pull it. And there is no 4k monitor either.
PS I read your comments, you are still a comedian, brother, urine is stronger and more incomprehensible. The TV that the author has, you do not understand. It is not your FullHD monitor, but much more complicated, and your primitive monitor tips do not roll. TV has its own processor, it just won't understand you. What is it, I don't understand.
for 4k60 obviously you need at least rtx2070-80 and 3060 and above, 1660 is good for 1080p60-90 frames depending on the game

I have other prices. 3060Ti / 2080S is now at least 2.5k. And 4k is already 6900XT / 3080Ti.
3060 / 2070 are confident FullHD. Actually, it's stupid to look like that. Because it depends on the game. They are all different. Take the Fallout 4 potter, it is not demanding at all, it runs on office machines, the game is extremely weak, take RDR2, here you can already bend the 3080Ti. So, that's why potter790 has been playing fallout for 7 years already, because nothing else pulls it in FullHD, a more powerful card is needed. Here's an example:

Who needs them, against the backdrop of odyssey g7 - the top thing on the market. The survey shows that 7% are sitting on 4k. Well, 2.5k today is already 25% (this is today). Here they talk about TVs. even you are among the majority of FullHD owners. WAKE UP! 2.5k already have monitors!
And this is not 4k:
Spoiler
Here such a telly should be able to scale. We need to get to know each other better. Even if 2.5k, it will be great. Buy yourself one you like, it's not expensive (where are they expensive then?), And the picture is just lovely, your screenshots will be cooler, because here 43 inches and real 4k will be the size of a canvas - huge! 43 inches bro! It's 10 bits. VA matrix with true black and minimal latency, but it's 60 Hz, so Odyssey as a gaming monitor is still cooler, because 240 Hz, VA, 350 candela, 10 bits and 109 pixel density. Buy yourself at least one, instead of your FullHD and 60Hz, 6Bit.
In general, we are waiting for a test from you, at least RDR2 on ultra in 4k resolution. Even Fallout 4, this is yesterday's century, such a lol. Do not tell anyone else about him, they will laugh at the edge.
lapwing mouse
Let's put a little order here, we'll put it in the comments. Let's remove the excess.
I also have it, it’s a little easier with monitors, it’s more difficult with TVs, I made a bit of a mistake, especially in my above recommendations for skiing. So it will be a little more comfortable.

Never understood these TVs. Hefty, bulky, you can’t sit next to it, because the look does not cover the whole picture, when half a meter from it, it’s problematic to play online tournaments because of this, and they also get very hot, cost a lot of money, heavy, when moving one such pick up a fool in two hands, they won’t fit on the table because of the size, your eyes get very tired, you need to turn your head from one side to the other, when the game is fast dynamic, you can easily see certain pixel flaws if the graphics are not on ultras or the resolution is less put, the cost of repairs is also high. In short, the TV is for movies and porn, and the monitor is for games. The only plus in these 100d TVs is that, if you take games, they play awesome in Fifu. Or other sports games. It takes four eyes to catch the girth of the picture so that you can control the entire gameplay. As for Folych, the game is still one of the most demanding, but only if all the settings are set to 4k resolution on ultras. And if you add grapho fan mods from above, then you need cards, at least 3080 and higher. There are quite a few uber-demanding places out there. Especially when it's morning, the sun's rays, haze, kneading and grass are nearby. It hits this business very hard in terms of performance!
