Computer shuts down while playing games

In some games, my computer suddenly started to cut off. Not all of course. While watching movies, it does not turn off, and indeed it does not turn off anywhere, except for some games. The computer is relatively new, about six months old. Since I'm a useless specialist in computers and don't know what to write - I'll write everything at once)
In general, here:

AMD phenom x4 2.20 GHz
RAM 4.00 GB (3.00 GB available)
ATI Radeon 4850 Series + ATI Radeon 3200 Graphics - (when I I installed Windows 7 for myself, firewood was automatically set to 4800 and 4800 began to be displayed for some reason, up to 7 there were various whists with 4850)
Atapi DVD A DH16A6S ATA Device
The sound is incomprehensible, there are 3 devices with High Definition Audio support
1 internal screw - 320GB chopped into 2 disks, external - seagate 1000GB, connected via USB
Monique LG LCD
Speakers with a Genius subwoofer
PSU - I don’t remember exactly, 280 watts seemed to be in the documents.

I don’t know what else to write, I really hope for your help.

Problem: 1.5 - 2 months ago we bought a video card ... having previously bought a 500W PSU, everything was fine right away, the video card worked fine for a month .. ..bought a sound card and a 5.1 speaker system.
And for the last 3 weeks, when playing something (Whether from CS 1.6. or more resource-hungry (0_o), the computer is cut down completely (It does not reboot, but the power is cut off .. when you try to turn it ON IMMEDIATELY, it also cuts down when loading the OS ...

At the expense of bp, I'll try to find the documents. It is highly undesirable to open the computer now.

I don't know if this will help or not. But you never know...

Your cores are overheating madly, most likely either the cooler is rotten, or the thermal paste has dried up, or the cooler is poorly pressed to the processor cover.
And tell me the name of your power supply.

Don_Simon Are

these temperatures under load while playing or is it just when you are in Windows?

vaider2804

and 250 gts will be better than 4850!

GTS250 is better than 4850 by 4-5% without overclocking, with overclocking of video cards by the same amount, 4850 becomes approximately better.

Guide, this is the Windows temperature.

I decided to look at the temperature during the game ...
Immediately after turning off the computer, I went into the BIOS and saw ...

Shutdown Temperature 90C - as I understand it, if such a temperature rises, the computer turns off.

CPU Temperature - 88 C - but as far as I understand, this cuts off my computer
System Temperature 54 C
NB Temperature 72 C

So the processor is overheating, what can be done about it?

Update the thermal paste on the procik, perhaps because of it there are incorrect readings.

There are 2 things you can do in connection with this:
1) Replace the cooler on the processor. Coolermaster Hyper 212+ , Ice Hamer 4300B , 4350B , 4400A or 4400B , 4401 , 4405 , Thermaltake big typhoon.
2) If the system manager is under warranty, then take it to the store / service center.

Take a 500 watt power supply and don't worry

What should I do, for example? I bought the game on Steam and started playing for the first hour, everything was fine, then the computer suddenly suddenly passed out and did not restart, and together with the computer and the monitor, I threw everything on "what what" well, you never know then the problem repeats. PSU 650 watt

Sergei Travkin 05.05.22

Punko punko
1. There are different bp for 650.
2. bp can fail.
3. overheating of the processor, video card, mother.

If it cuts out, then the processor may be overheating.

A
ArkisH122 05.05.22

For a 4800 series video card, you need at least a 450 PSU, and even that is not enough. Change it to 500 or 650. (If possible, of course)
