Relic's true attitude towards its players (Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War)

Lately I see that relic is not right in the head, this was already evident in the plot of coh 2. But now I will show another incident, recently relic updated all dow and transferred them to steamworks, adding the sega logo instead of thq, the cartoon was updated , and wide resolutions for dow and winter assault were not delivered legally, the players decided to ask relic to add wide resolutions, to which relic replied this:
Actually this was the result of months of work to remove the Gamespy server coding and rework the entire multiplayer system to run on Valve's Steamworks and adding in the new features and protections that we hope to roll out with our Battle Servers (already active in Company of Heroes and Company of Heroes 2).

This was required because Gamespy is being shutdown, which would have effectively killed the game. A number of other studios and publishers simply closed their games rather than putting in the time and money to keep them alive.

We felt that it was worth it to do the work to keep the entire Dawn of War series functioning.

Crooked translation:

It wasn't just a logo change.

It wasn't just a logo change.

It hurts to rewrite a couple of lines to translate multiplayer to steamworks - this is supposedly many months of work, the players were indignant that it was so difficult to add support for a wide format to the game, forcing them to take a list of resolutions from the video card driver, but relic ignores this and is not going to fix it, this is frankly boorish attitude towards gamers, for some reason firefly was not too lazy to introduce high resolutions for the first stronghold with redrawing textures and sprites, and relic cannot write a couple of lines of code, and yes, many complain about the game crashing after the latest patches, relic is so crooked that after replacing the logo and adding a couple of lines to the program added a bunch of bugs, I hope they will be closed, and let the developers themselves be tormented by their conscience for all the latest "good" surprises, and sega would go broke, for cheating players a lot.

And yes, if you bought the game-license in the box, and not in steam, then congratulations you idiot, go buy the game again in steam , there will be no new patches for you, as well as multiplayer, and you won’t be able to transfer the license to steam? maybe later the retail license can be transferred, but relic is silent about this, when they transferred coh to steam, they nevertheless warned people in advance that those who have a retail license would be able to transfer it to steam, they didn’t say a word about dow what to do for those who already have a retail license, bravo Reich Entertainment, bravo!

Relic is already bankrupt along with THQ. They were buried by the poor sales of company of heroes 2, negative reviews in the press and incorrect positioning of the dawn of war series.
