FPS on various configurations. (Rise 2: Dark Waters)
In this topic, I propose to unsubscribe about how the game goes on various computer configurations and general optimization of the game. For example:
I5 2500K 4.7GHZ, HD 6970 2GB, 8Gb RAM Ultra settings 1680x1050 the game produces 100500 fps.
Optimization for such graphics and such poor textures is simply disgusting.
Naturally, everything is on the max.
Config in profile, FPS used to drop to 40, it's just some kind of hat.
We already wrote that the game engine is well optimized, but its peculiarity is that it heavily loads the shader blocks of the video processor. Therefore, on the "old" (9800gt, 3870) and budget types, the FPS will sag very much.
Everything on max except anisotropy and shadows (reducing the rest doesn't change anything :) )
about 18-30 fps in rain, snow and jungle :)
Intel Core I7 2630qm + 8GB ram + Intel HD3000 :)

Thanks Cap, but nothing that everything you wrote refers to the optimization of the game, and it's disgusting.
saa0891, optimization is fixing bugs, imperfections, finding a simpler and less resource-intensive solution to a problem. If the engine initially uses shader blocks to render literally everything that is rendered in the frame, then it is no longer possible to optimize, but to rewrite it again.

What does it have to do with bugs, we are talking about all the components that are included in the optimization of the game, other engines also use shader blocks and that, and the picture there is much better and the FPS is higher, in Risen 2 the picture is much worse and the FPS is lower, and this all applies to the optimization of the game. I don't get less than 40 FPS in The Witcher 2, so you compare the picture and Risen 2 there.
In short, the optimization is very far from normal.

And here everything is different... )) Advanced test results, independent users with three 7970 cards. I5 vs I7. with one card, there is also a difference of 2000 points.

I played on beech, I was very upset, because the game was terribly lagging at minimum wages, although bf3 flies at the same minimum wages, which is bad. For the sake of interest, I decided to throw the game on an old computer, 2GB of RAM, vidyuha 256MB 8600 GT, Athlon x2 4800+. So she is on it at high settings many times better than on the beech (it gives out somewhere around 25-30 fps). No game optimization.
Is there a way to raise the FPS just a little bit? At the minimum, it slows down, you can play, but it's not comfortable.
there is one little tip on my config (see in PM) my fps dropped a lot on the maximum requirements, my fps in the jungle and in the pirate bay dropped to 21-23. the shadows were on ultra, I set them on high and I got 50 instead of 25 in the jungle instead of 25 in the pirate bay 35 instead of 23 the difference in the graphics is COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE I CHECKED probably the whole thing is in the textures, they are loaded like in a sick RAGE. In short, friends are waiting for patches.
The rest of the graphics options have almost no effect, you only need to reduce the shadows depending on the config
Today I tested for a couple of minutes, I didn’t see less than 50 fps on ultra (Usually 60 due to vertical synchronization) 1680x1050. The game is not demanding at all. But there is a jamb, it doesn’t go with headphones from the Logitech G35, it’s like horror. We need to go to the developers and talk.
Optimization is ok. To all the happy owners of Nvidia, remove the 3D driver in the Nvidia settings and everything will be ok. Below 32 FPS does not sag. Conf in profile. All at max.
PS Measured FRAPS (also tested under ATI HD5770 FPS-35)

Well, of course there will be a difference, but the GPU score is single, which clearly shows that the card does not rest on the percentage.

On the light graphics they are identical, but on the fourth test the difference is forty frames. And where GPU Score is identical??? 32500 and 27900... With one card, the difference is 1000 in the GPU test, and 10 frames in the fourth test... Ash stump, I'm glad that you spent your money rationally, pay about 500-600 bucks for this difference (including the motherboard with 2011 slot and ddr3 1600 memory). Well done! But I would put ai7-2600, there is a difference of 50 bucks.
