Opinion about the game. (Salt and Sacrifice)
Colleague's subject. It has been 6 days since it came out, and many have been waiting for it, but there has been no discussion. This is not such a turkey to ignore, the first part was a mega-masterpiece.But what about the second one? IMHO - some kind of failure ... in all respects. We tried the best, but it turned out - how it happened. It seems that the scheme is simple - take the good and do better. Well, it turned out to be the other way around. The game lost its surroundings, the first one was atmospheric, like Souls, dull music, eternal fog, faded colors, rare NPCs doomedly whine about the futility of everything that exists - and so on. Plus, I was personally delivered by the general theme of drowning, shipwrecks, when everything on the island is like one mob - victims of shipwrecks (well, closer to the final - also salt experiments, but this is if you climb into the lore). In general - the atmosphere taxied.
And in this part, everything is somehow wrong. There is no atmosphere as such. Levels (and here the teleport system makes them exactly "levels" - there is no feeling of moving forward, you just seem to launch yourself into a level that has an "end" - the last wall, beyond which you will not pass, because further the level is not drawn and you need to do TP in the hub) are not related to each other. If in the first it was played up, then here it's just like biomes. Running around them eventually comes down to a stupid farm of mage bosses that don’t fit into the plot in any way, they just exist, and the GG “should†take them down. And the fact that the bosses just randomly spawn according to the level, moreover, haphazardly, often just two at the same point at once, and the fact that killing these bosses is exactly the same (found, beat, caught up, beat, caught up, beat, caught up , killed completely - repeat until you buy all his clothes), and the fight with "different" bosses is the same (minions, two or three castes, a sword strike), only the external sprite is different - literally kills all the interest. The game looks raw, like it's a beta. I did not go through it to the end, played 10 hours, probably killed a dozen elemental magicians, several passing bosses. I realized that if you didn’t pull away from the first part, then on the third day you already had to force yourself to play. Running around two locations (I have two so far - a forest and a desert) in a circle a hundred times, the same five mobs, the same ten magicians, you can’t see any progress in the plot at all - well, that’s it ... only the external sprite differs - literally kills all interest. Well, I don’t know in general, so far the general impression is rather negative. No, I'll pass of course, but my hands are more and more reaching out to replay the first part for the tenth time, turn on two or three difficulty modifiers - and run for fun. What do other players think (who are there at all)?
And also crap - what kind of jumping ability do mobs have? They will look down for a quarter of an hour - and jump ANY distance to you, even through solid walls. What is it like?

How are you? I wonder whether it passed or not and in general your opinion.
I was also looking forward to this game and ended up being a complete disappointment. No comparison with the first part, although it also had a lot of questions. Why was it necessary to combine a shield and a sword, why these constant monotonous hunts for magicians, which are so screwed to the plot for show and their eternal spam (which is not explained or where I missed this information) stupidly to delay the process, knocking out items for crafting, crooked control, no sense of heavy armor, no sense of weapons (which in such a game should be a priority), etc. many can be listed. I don’t know where such high ratings for the game from the publishers come from, the game is a maximum of 6 out of 10, and then because of respect for the first part. In a word, trash compared to the first part.
Yes, to put it mildly, the game turned out to be strange
. As I understand it, the idea was to make a game like a bagel, but no luck, no luck. I can’t
even believe that the game was made by the same dude as the first part.
Disappointment................

Passed. And got the platinum. And even for the magician began to replay. At the end, when all the levels are already open, it becomes more or less ... But anyway, it looks exactly like an attempt at a bagel, as Yuri said above, and not like a meter and the "first part" in general. Everything is perfectly said - stupid spawn of magicians ( I personally saw 4!!! on one screen) - WHY?? The lack of a plot - and in the "first" he was and went in, even though he was written on his knee and there was that plot in three lines - but he kept the atmosphere, he moved the hero forward (obviously, we must speak about all the NPCs, plus some clothes with their description promoted and lore and plot - a la DS). The absence of the concept of "heaviness" in armor, the lack of reaction of the mob to strikes with super-hard swords, an unnecessary hub, unnecessary merchants, unnecessary hundreds of equipment elements, because they are tritely the same for everyone except for the exterior. An insane amount of experience in the first playthrough - I went to lvl 123 - pumped in more than half of the grid (1 time - I was not interested in stats, but in discovering new weapons and armor) - although in the first you pump in completely. 1 armor and 1 weapon, plus a maximum of ten levels in stats on top. And then - if you farm. Gathering berries and stones for cans and arrows... I had 1k+ berries and 300+ ore in my chest at the end - despite the fact that I loved the bow and often ate cans). By the way, there are no secrets (the location turned out to be mega-short and even without bosses, purely for the key - I jumped - and there’s nothing more to do there. And the key is not needed, this merchant is useless at the time you open it. As a result, silver in the game is not needed from words in general. And these mobs - which have no such thing as "stamina" and which will just poke you endlessly until you die. Mobs have an impenetrable block. Generally. Nothing - not heavy weapons - not even magic, which is generally absurd. If the mob became a shield - write wasted, don't even waste mana. But how they love to send the hero flying 3 screens back with a blow. And it doesn't matter what armor you were in. What can I say - you can't remember all the minuses right away ... In general, an extremely ambiguous game. She would add levels with patches, new magicians (the latter - a vampire, a dragon - gave heat), just new bosses. And a plus - it saves the fact that her price was not 2.5k, but only a five-hat. Those. we were immediately given to understand that the game is NOT AAA. But it's a shame that at the level of the "first" it's so much worse (... What can I say - you can't remember all the minuses right away ... In general, an extremely ambiguous game.
