Fast travel and waiting times

I'd like to be able to either fast travel to hunting stands, or choose to wait at a stand or location. While I can appreciate the simulation experience of having to wait X amount of time and get the "be patient and calm" experience, I'd like to avoid leaving the computer on for a certain amount of time waiting for a certain time of day in who knows where.

Some of us have a limited amount of time, and since there is no competitive side to the game, I don't see any reason to force players to hike every time they run out of ammo or want to change the time of day.
