Uncomfortable control - clumsy movements

The movements are fucking clumsy.

I mean, okay, you're playing as a puppet automaton, great. But it feels like your character is constantly having seizures or something, and the combat system is so incredibly slow, unresponsive, and unfun that I'm seriously considering a refund.

Enemies don't seem to feel hits, so it becomes boring "wait for opening, 1 hit, back" or "place at the right distance, charge a heavy attack, finish the enemy while he's on the floor". The stealth mechanic somehow manages to be even more boring, with the only requirement being to latch onto an enemy to apparently "sneak up" on them.

I'll be that guy and say it straight out: how the hell do people enjoy the game after Elden Ring? Please explain to me, I must be doing something wrong.
