What affects FPS? (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)
I have a pretty top-end PC (GTX980, intel core i-7 4970K 4GHz and 16 GB of RAM) and here in the witcher at max fps settings 50-60 (sometimes it sags up to 40) in scenes generally up to 30 can. There are several questions1. Is this number of fps normal?
2. Can the fps depend on the fact that I, for example (maybe) did not correctly install the video card, as an example.
3. What affects FPS the most?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Well... if you didn't install the video card correctly, you wouldn't see the image on the monitor.
Anti-aliasing and NV Hairworks are the biggest influences, although the GTX980 should be able to handle them.
gtx 980, core i7 4790k 16 operators
removed hairworks, set ssao, vegetation range high, shadows high, everything else is prohibitive and all post-processing is turned on, resolution 2560x1080 stable 60 fps without drawdowns (vertical on)
when included hairworks, beyond shadows and nvao + then fps to 40+ fell depending on the zone
So Maklakonyy try copy it like mine

don't worry - it's still normal for you, the game was poorly optimized, because there are people with GTX 660 with 30fps shouting about mega optimization ... 30fps is not comfortable to play. The graphics do not meet the requirements, they can fix it with patches. I have on ultra with nvidia technologies enabled -35-45fps on average. This is terrible, even GTA 5 with 8x anti-aliasing did not slow down ...

I have intel core i5 [email protected] and gtx970@1400 for core and 7800 for memory.
Everything is on ultra, SAO and I have an average fps of 40-45-60 and also 30 in cutscenes.
Everything is fine with you.
980 is the same 780 ti only colder. made according to a new technical process. The Witcher 3 EVERYTHING FOR ULTRA is made
for growth and one 980 is not enough for him.

for the witcher
MedvediVodki norms,
well, as you can see, it can’t cope

I don’t know about others, but I have it at minimum with gts 450, it plays very well!
The biggest influence is nVidia bullshit.
Next in descending order:
Textures
Object detail (or something like that)
Vegetation rendering distance.
In general

I don’t know about you, at a resolution of 2560x1080 I get 55-60 fps when moving around the world and in battles, in scenes and dialogues it drops to a maximum of 30-35, but in dialogues it’s not so scary. Everything on ultra, + HairWorks, grass rendering on high. config in profile.
BUT! Personally, I turned off HairWorks and I'm not worried, because there is nothing so supernatural in it. Without it, everything is 55-60fps everywhere, both in scenes and in the world.
the truth is that they want to release 980ti and that there will be 6 gigs of RAM
Tender thighs
are not all I have 780ti and titan x is too expensive 58000p at the current ruble exchange rate and I took mine for 21000 performance is not worth these 30000r but about 980ti I want to think
Gentle thighs
, well, until now, all the games are on ultras when it comes out then and we'll see 4k, I don't have it anyway, so there's nothing to worry about
They like nvidia to sell the same product for different prices
N-impudence

lately I spit on 30-ku, but in the Witcher it is the most, no matter how, to the place. (pech970 - all on ultra and locked at 30)
Please answer, who faced or knows what the following problem may be related to. When I play The Witcher 3 after some time of the game (sometimes less than 15 minutes), the FPS drops very sharply from normal (30-35 by eye) to very low, literally a slideshow. I play from a laptop, I use cool. stand, i.e. The laptop is cold, not hot. The dispatcher reports that there are no problems with CPU, memory or disk loading! I have already set different options for graphics settings, which is on medium-high, which is at the minimum, the problem manifests itself. Restarting the game helps, sometimes 1 restart is not enough. Paradoxically, during epic battles with magic and other effects, everything is fine, but sometimes a slideshow can start unexpectedly in an empty room. Installed the latest video card drivers. Notebook parameters:
Intel core i7-4510U 2Ghz 2 cores
Nvidia geforce 840M 2 gb
8 gb memory
win8
Who faced? What could be the cause of the problem?
A friend has almost identical parameters, only a little bit, I note, a little stronger, but he did not encounter this.
