Memory temperature on GeForce 2080ti 100 degrees
Hello! I went to Farmark to test the card after 3 years, all the rates are normal, but I was confused by the memory temperature of 100 degrees and more (reached 102). Didn't overclock the card. Is this normal temperature or not?NoX1k1 Thermal pads
preferably from 10W/mK and higher, and with a hardness of at least 40 shore
Put plasticine between the memory and the heatsink and measure its thickness. Use it to determine the required thickness of the thermal pad.
No, it's high temperature. As already said, change the thermal pads, and the thermal paste at the same time.
Thermal pads see Iceberg Thermal DRIFTIce is the best solution. I change on the cards and in the service.
If possible, take it to a service center so that they do preventive maintenance.

Thank you understood! Well, I have a maximum, and then it rarely rises to 78-79, but mostly it stays around 74+ - at maximum load.

Well, what solved the problem? What thermal pads did you install? I had a similar one. The temperature of the video memory reached 96-98C until I replaced the thermal pads.

By the way, what is the maximum normal temperature?
Depends on the type of memory, its specification. For example, micron, for the most part, 95 indicates that there are modules, and up to 105 is considered the optimal indicator (GDDR6X has the same garbage).
If you open the hynix portal, you can see other numbers and recommendations, again depending on the type of memory, there is up to 85 degrees of recommendation.
AMD indicated the limit for GDDR6 - 115, for GDDR6X - 120, Possible for 6X 105-110. A good range is taken up to 80-85 for everyone. Excellent up to 60-80 degrees (considered the most adequate and suitable for long-term loads and work in any design). And so 95 is a universal indicator for almost everyone, which should not be crossed for a long service life.
