How to configure a gamepad? (Far Cry)

The game is like on PC gamepad not supported. You can configure tools type xpadder, but it will be pathetic, as key icons with the pada will not be displayed on the screen.

Theoretically, the game should support the joystick on the XBOX, but personally I never managed to get it to work.
Manual is this: you need in the file system.cfg set parameter cl_use_joypad equal to 1, and replace the contents of the game file.cfg:
