Potion of scar Valerie trick? (Pathfinder: Kingmaker)

Should she offer to try the course SELA or is there a trick from the developers?

The point is that a duel Valerie received bodily injury. Right now we have started a dialogue with her.It turned out that she was given some questionable potion for the treatment of scar on the face. She asks Council to risk or not.

I personally did not get(the game was sabhavasu, almost until the ending came, and kV Valerie never showed up), had to start again(lots of reasons there), would appreciate if you wrote back that it was.
