Gun (How to Survive 2)

In General,I hung the quest to find hunter,but what would he begin to fulfill the need to build weapons,to build weapons requires iron plate,which is nowhere,and Kovac said that iron can be found in the hunter.
It turns out that to begin the quest ,does not work ,and plates,as I understand it,can be found while doing this quest.
The question is,what do I do?
