smite good against bosses only. Bazaar there. But there are cases that there is a need for such a rock. For example for Pvp. And, of course, Merck is not redundant to this paladin.
Default: merc in act II with might aura weapon and a reaper toll. Simple mobs are easier to kill with skill, zeal, at least 1 start.

I'm no intellectual, but I always thought that the paladin in the realities of the PG has a right to exist only in two forms:
1. Uber-smiter
2. Hcs-hammer, designed to capture level 99.
