Freezes when pressing ALT (Beyond Divinity)

In the game when you press alt (highlighting items on the screen) the fps drops terribly, the same story in the key assignment menu. Tried different Repack, reduced the number of active cores, lowered the maximum memory, nothing helps. Divine Divinity with the same DoD worked like clockwork. A new PC, Win10 system.
In the forums I read that could help disable fog in settings. BUT, I removed the check and it's there again!
Somebody faced with similar???
