Over the beaches of Dunkirk will unfold large-scale air battle. The battle will consist of three stages, during which you have to fulfill a number of missions for allied aircraft and Axis. You are waiting for exciting adventures, heroic deeds, experience, credits and premium days. The main prize — two of the legendary fighter.

Historical note
Operation Dunkirk, codenamed operation Dynamo operation during the French campaign of the Second world war the evacuation by sea of British, French and Belgian parts, blocked off the town of Dunkirk by German forces after the Dunkirk battle.

On 10 may 1940 the German army launched a decisive attack against allied forces in Belgium, Holland and Northern France. The attack developed rapidly: by 20 may the Germans managed to surround and push to the sea near the city of Dunkirk 10 British, 18 French and 12 Belgian divisions.

The British government decided to evacuate part of the British expeditionary force on the territory of England. To accomplish this task, were mobilized all available ships of the naval and merchant fleet: 693 English and 250 French. In addition, the rescue encircled troops of the allies was attended by about 700 small civilian vessels: fishing, pleasure boats, small freighters, ferries, boats and even private yachts, many of which are managed by their owners.

During the following days, the German troops gradually narrowed the encirclement, despite fierce resistance from allies. On may 24, Hitler gave the order to stop the advance at Dunkirk, although at this point the German tanks were only 20 kilometers from the city. The offensive was resumed only on may 27, and the allies used the respite to strengthen its position and start the evacuation.

On 26 may, the British received the evacuation order, which lasted until 4 June, and received the code name "Operation Dynamo". The evacuation was accompanied by continuous artillery strikes and enemy aircraft. In the air battle unfolded between the fighters of the RAF and Luftwaffe. German pilots failed to disrupt the evacuation of the allies, who were taken to the British Isles 337 131 people. Rescued troops lost almost all heavy weapons, ammunition, equipment, fuel and food. During the operation killed more than a quarter of the ships that took part in it. Nevertheless the UK retained the bulk of their army acting on the continent, and were able to continue the war.
