The combination of dies
Hi, I have 2 dies on 4 GB. What will happen if I add another die for 2GB? Whether to do it or better stay on eight gigs?1 Comments

If die is normal and will not have compatibility issues - 10 GB of RAM.

Depends on what is more important: the total amount of RAM, or how it will work. If the modules have different characteristics (e.g. frequency) - likely to work for minimum available. Also not the fact that will work in multichannel mode. Memory it is desirable to select the same modules: the more they like each other (volume, frequency, manufacturer, etc.) the better.
