The door to the Bastion (Wasteland 2)

Can't pass through the gate in the Bastion. The monks fought, they say, come, choose one of the three religions to their liking. But the gate is not opened. Now when I try to start a dialogue with them, give the Bible(to infinity). Has anyone encountered such? what to do?
