1. Make sure that the phone IMEI and box IMEI match

(1). Enter * # 06 # on the dialpad to find your IMEI.
(2). Go to Settings -> About phone -> Status to see your S/N.


If the IMEI in phone does not match the IMEI on the box, which must be a phone problem.

Because Xiaomi is a China brand, the result can be in simplified Chinese

2.1) If it shows 官 翻 机 as a result, as shown in the pictures
means it is a CPO phone.

2.2) If it shows Your Imei does not exist, check and enter again in the result, as in the picture, this means that from an unknown source. It's not original and not new

2.3) If it shows Chinese characters without 官 翻 机 as a result, as in the picture, it means that he is the original and official brand new phones
These Chinese characters only showing that it can be validated and is authentic.
