Brakes when firing a shotgun (Painkiller: Redemption)

I found that a shotgun was strangely working in Redemption. If you first shoot with a freeze and then try immediately with a shot, the shot is not fired until the cold recharges. In the first parts everything works fine, checked. What's going on? They said the engine was exactly the same.
