Settlement protection (Fallout 4)

Walls are useless to hug enemies can spawn anywhere, it can be avoided only if you had time to come to the settlements before the attack, that's the case, the walls really help.
The most effective defense is simply to put a bunch of rocket turrets around the perimeter of the settlement, they instantly cut out enemies, only you need to put them on the above (on a two-storey tower) that they had a large sector of shelling.


I kind of had a fashion for the spawn of enemies behind the settlements, but I didn't put it that way, I can't tell you how it works.
