Difficult \ "Critical game error. \" (Horizon: Zero Dawn)
I read the forum, topics on this topic, nothing helped, but suddenly I missed something and maybe someone will suggest a possible new solution. At startup, it takes just a couple of seconds to load the game and crashes a "critical error".
Since the above, I tried a lot of things, namely:
-Run as administrator.
-Run in compatibility mode with other versions of Windows has been tried.
-Increased the paging file size 2 times more than the amount of RAM (8GB) on the system disk as well as the disk with the game.
-I installed the game so that everything in the path to the folder is written in English, the username is also in English.
-Deleted and recreated the "Horizon Zero Dawn" folder with saves in the "Documents" section.
-All drivers are updated to the latest version both for the video card and for Virtual ++ Direct X. I also tried rolling back the video card to other versions.
-Reinstalled Windu, in particular there is a 10 pro version. An update to version 2004 was also tried.
-The game processor supports and pulls in reviews, all algorithms and instructions are supported.
None of the options helped, but the actual configuration of the laptop looks like:
-core i3-7100
-gtx 970
-8GB DDR4 RAM- with a frequency of 3200.
There will be more options, what could be fixed, where to dig?
How did Griborij update the
driver manually? it is desirable to check the driver with a booster or the driver with a solution.
Desktop preparation procedures surprise me)

I met one eccentric, nothing started. They looked for the problem for a long time, after it turned out he had two windows installed on top of each other ... Besides, I mean that, in most cases, you have to identify errors yourself. Therefore, I can offer only superficial support by air, but not physically) Then it makes no sense to climb into the jungle for me, I think it makes no sense, otherwise I can break the wood because I can't think of a reason)))

The option is not bad, but when reinstalling Windows, I completely deleted partitions (volumes) C and D, did not create others, redistributed the space and formatted it. So I think the question is not in the hardware, but in the game itself. Maybe due to aspects of porting and engine, maybe because of the repack, but out of 3 repacks (Igruha, Khtab, Mechanics) none of them works correctly.

stupidly simple solution to make a huge swap file as I did on release and the rules will be

with laptops can be more difficult, although it is almost no different from a desktop PC, I could not be friends with them in terms of games. And in general, I consider it a blasphemy to use a laptop for games. Blasphemy is a very important factor in cooling in general.
The swap file should not be so large, for a normal game it is better to set the minimum recommended, it says how much.
If one does not work, then you should not break the other because of it!
