Game Impression (The Medium)
The game is out in an hour, share your opinionsoh such a graphics yes in silent hill or siberia, at 3080 60 frames in 2k is stable, ultra everything is natural, the screensavers are twitching, the gameplay is good, I play with a slow hdd, ryzen 3600
I thought I had already seen all the shit, but damn it to shove "depth of field" into "smoothing" is superintelligence.
To be clear, I don't like depth of field. I usually turn it off in games. It immediately turns on automatically when any anti-aliasing is selected. And given the fact that without DLSS at 3080 there will be no 60 fps ... This is doubly sad.
I'll go sit and wait while the craftsmen find a way to disable DOF
Shimuto
These superintelligences didn't even bother to do ultra-high-speed support. Like, when two locks are rendered in a split screen = this is not possible (at least the developers wrote such an excuse in one of the topics in the incentive). But for some reason, the know-way out by default had an ultra-wide view, although it was developed by an indie studio (albeit with the support of EA)
everything in this game is outdated, and the split-screen is incredibly annoying. technically badly done.
Yes, I didn’t expect anything good from the bloober team, who always make progress.
Remember igruhu I am alive? Here is a 1-in-1 graphon, only that one weighed 1GB, and this is ......
3 sets of 20 minutes each and I fall asleep in a chair ..
Norm112
I wrote the complete garbage , the graphics of the emu are the same, open your eyes!
I liked the game of norms, the camera as in the silent, but the atmosphere is different, not like the silent.
Here in the news they wrote that the patch was released, and why doesn't it appear on my incentive?
The fact that many people write in the minuses went into the pros.
Liked the camera. I just wanted a game with a Silent Hill camera and RE 1-3. And the angles here were selected no worse. The lack of visibility in some places added to the atmosphere.
I liked the split screen. Unusual. Atmospheric. The fact that the screen is not always split does not make it annoying (the only thing is, when leaving the body, I would leave one screen, because at these moments the second screen is not needed).
I didn’t like that there is no combat and elementary puzzles. Expected Silent Hill and RE 1-3, but got, in fact, a castrated version of these games. Yes, atmospheric and fun, but, damn, the game is mostly a simple walking simulator (which is not my genre). The game passed, but, in many respects, due to the relatively short duration. And then, in the end, already tired. It is a pity that the atmosphere, plot and unusual gameplay solutions ruined the boring gameplay.
I will say this, I liked the plot, but I did not like the gameplay, the ending too. The gameplay is too boring and monotonous, it only drags on many moments, it is better to watch the game on Youtube, as for me, than to play it, although it is not long, but it can still get bored and the only thing that will make you play further is the desire to learn what will happen at the end and then you will be hit in the face with a boot, because you will not know how it will end at the end) As a result, as a game, The Medium is so-so, but as a story, it is very good, for this, as I wrote above, it is better watch it on Youtube, well, wait for the continuation, because of the ending.
The level of dullness is 10 out of 10. So I waited and eventually broke off. This game can be safely recorded in the "failure of 2021)".
I play on Series X. The game often pleases with light, reflections, straight UAU. But the graphics in general are nothing outstanding.
Very interesting, exciting, very similar to silent hill. Not a masterpiece, but a very interesting game. It's funny to watch how the PE-KA boyars, who always walk like roosters and yell like a peka better than the console, once again eat a crooked port and drive them to the game))) Leave the PC for CS go and Dota2, and play such games on a large 4k plasma with a home cinema and Elite Controller2.
Monsters are straight 10 out of 10. I don't remember those for a long time. From them, it is direct CERTAINLY natural. The astral world is interestingly implemented, much more interesting than in silent hill and anywhere else !!!
7.5 out of 10 I think it is the most. Approximately on the level of Days Gone, if you look at the exclusives. A good-quality game with a limited budget, not a masterpiece, the plot is interesting, but not UAU, it's interesting to play) But I highly do not recommend skipping it, because, again, interesting gameplay solutions that have not been anywhere before and monsters are something with something. There will be a bomb in the headphones at all)
The plot came to me personally, in places it was certainly boring, but bearable! Didn't like it, all the controls and the blunt camera
The game went in the direction of nasty, instead of inventing something beautiful and exciting (instead of nasty). I'm not in favor of Horror at all, and especially not for gloomy games with night walks alone, in desolate and gloomy places, with such sounds that I want to turn off and look at the sun and see people, and then there's also disgusting, and the whole game. On the walls, etc. with a hiss of liquid to boot. The feeling of a slaughterhouse. And, by the way, there and even literally a whole episode in the slaughterhouse. :) Is that such a genre - disgusting? It does not give anything to horror. Who needs it? I hope that no one ... The
research part did not bother at all, every piece of paper that I found was read in one gulp, because of a very interesting plot - history, names of places, people, everything is incredibly intriguing.
The medium and that's all, very interesting.
But the nastiness and the ending very seriously ruined the game (and for me, as a person who does not like this genre, also gloominess). And the bust with running around for keys and screwdrivers, not believable and tired. Too much of this.
In general, I am for such games, but without horror and gloom. And even more so, without nasty things.
A horror movie from the Bloober Team studio, inspired by the Silent Hill series.
Post-socialist Poland of the 1990s. In the role of Marianne, a girl-medium who can see the "other world", the player goes to the abandoned Niva holiday home to meet a certain Thomas, who is aware of the heroine's abilities and promises to tell her everything upon meeting.
Polish studio Bloober Team has a dual reputation, on the one hand it is responsible for atmospheric horror Layers of Fear and high-quality dark cyberpunk> observer_, and on the other hand, it has rather mediocre Layers of Fear 2 and Blair Witch in its portfolio. So I had well-founded concerns about the quality of The Medium. Including the tangent to the main "chip" of the game - the simultaneous presence of Marianne, both in the ordinary world and in the other world (with a split screen in half). Fortunately, the result turned out to be good, and although the project lacks bolder horror techniques and a variety of monsters (in fact, the main monster from which the heroine will run and hide is only one), it still turned out to be a pretty atmospheric game. Local locations, like a forest or the same rest house, immerse the player in the right atmosphere from the first minutes. Moreover, The split-screen feature for two variations of the game world turned out to be successful. It's a pity there are no battles in the game in the spirit of the same Silent Hill'a (especially considering the "split screen"). By the way, not only the setting and the "alternative version of the world" remind about Silent Hill, but also the fixed view of the camera.
Also in The Medium there is a good soundtrack (in which the iconic Akira Yamaoka took part) and riddles organically woven into the game world. But the plot could be more interesting. The story about the "dead girl" and the otherworldly "demon" living in an abandoned boarding house will hardly surprise anyone.
What is the bottom line? The Medium is definitely a project for a solid "seven", a kind of Silent Hill-lite, which will appeal to everyone who is nostalgic for the cult survival horror series.
7/10
A disgusting piece of feces for incomprehensible creatures whose eyes send each other to fig ...
Idiotic idea, for which many more pay. In my next project, I recommend that the authors generally divide 3 or even 4 screens, then the iksperds from 7b will go bankrupt by 10 out of 10. Until they release, just the technologies will be tightened so that the GPU renders 3 - 4 games.
The final score is 2 split screens out of 10.
Judging by the PC comments, the boyars played at low settings)) The
game came in for me, I tried a similar game for the first time in a very long time, not counting the resident and some older games in such a form, as for me in the game there is a balance between changing the camera to two screens , the change of worlds, everything somehow alternates and does not get bored, graphene norms, the reflection in the water is impressive and photorealistic textures, the animation is only lame
After buying a new generation console, of course, I began to look at games differently, the price decided and it was worth it, instead of what would dig into the settings and try to squeeze the most out of my computer, I just enjoy the beautiful graphics for a more adequate budget and without crutches
