Upgrading Equipment (Dark Souls 3)

Actually, the question arose: how can you pump armor / clothes?
In the Temple of Fire, a blacksmith can improve weapons / shields ... but in the previous parts armor was also possible, however.
Has this opportunity been removed?

.... bad, hoping for his own inattention.
A strange approach ... gives Bloodborn a bad feeling in this particular case.

A newbie's question in the series - I play onli with a 100% shield and a rapier, I haven't seen a single sword better, it's getting slower and with a swing, but the poke is my everything, the block + the mega-fast poke - everything dies. But this is not the point, the question is - how to properly pump (understand pumping) fluff? I still swung the rapier on the wall with a rough samocet, robust added damage, but the stat bonuses (which I did not understand what they give) were removed. But as an experienced gamer, I think that the very first stone for a point clearly cannot be the best, I played decently, I crawl some swamps now, I caught crayfish, I have a fiery gem and an exquisite gem in my pocket. The first one drops my damage from 157 to 106, but adds 106 more damage from fire - how to understand this? On mobs without fire resistance, will there be a physics damage of 106 + fire damage of 106, a total of 212? And the second one drops the damage from 157 to 111, but it adds another 40 physical damage in the line, it looks like 111 + 40, and plus it will increase the bonus to stats - agility C and strength C - please explain this too - I don't see a numerical increase in stats. And in general terms - what kind of cachazzo stone at certain stages of the passage and why? Thank.

You sharpen weapons if you invest in stats (so that the multiplier increases), and stones are used to add additional effects (magical damage, damage from darkness, etc.)

did not understand the first one at all, I invest, but not in power, because I am a bitch, a little in dexterity, they say the casting speed gives, though it doesn’t give a nifiga in fact. And the second is understandable, I need to know if I need it and why I need it. Let me explain - is it worth changing 157 solid damage to 106 + 106 with fire.

your stats affect weapon damage, that is, if you have about 30 dexterity, then the damage bonus depends on the multiplier (S, A, B, C) +60,50,40,30 (this is conditional)

everything, thanks,
I understood this moment Summing up - I myself have to decide what is better for me - pure physical damage, or less damage but with additional. damage with an element or less damage, but with additional stats? As for me, it's better than pure damage without any fiddling, nothing is needed. So I knocked over to Crystal Sage's example, took a crystal rapier for the duush - it gives a little damage but also damage with magic - as a result, my rapier without magic but with a coarse gem will damage the mob higher than the crystal one - I will spam the same mob with a regular rapier 80 each, crystal is only 50. Yes, and you need to sharpen it with some kind of scales, but I only saw one - for a lizard at the very beginning, I did not come across any more.

that's right, if you're doing a melee build for agility, then for maximum damage you need to raise your stats to about 40-50.

You had to sharpen a rapier with a sharp gem, if you swing a dex, it gives A scaling for agility. And a small increase in strength. If you are doing a high-quality build (equal strength with dexterity), then an exquisite one will do, at the very beginning you need to knock it out from a knight in a blue cloak. When you sharpen on a rough gem, all scales are removed, leaving pure damage. But this is not bad, since with a light weapon you can bring damage before it melts.
