Game Optimization (Rogue Legacy)

Hello everyone, today I wanted to download Rogue Legacy, but there was a problem: the game lags. My computer is weak, but there is also a weaker one, so I hope that I will help someone. I’ll say right away that I solved the problem for myself and this is a REALLY effective way, I don’t know exactly how much he added fps, but the picture became smooth, although sometimes it lags, but not so much. So, I will tell you point by point what helped me.


1. Game settings
Oddly enough, first you need to set up the game itself, and then you don't need to set up anything special, except for the first three points: Set the resolution to 800x600, if you set it less, this will not add FPS, rather the opposite, set the mode to full screen, and MANDATORY set "Yes" in the item "Reduce the quality of shaders".

2. Game launch settings
I must say right away: these are not the settings that you think about, not in the incentive.
What you need to do: first go to the root folder of the game, then right-click on the .exe file and click the "Properties" button, then click compatibility and select the checkboxes: "Disable visual design", "Disable desktop composition", " Disable high-resolution image scaling and the coveted Run this program as administrator.

3. Optimizing your PC
I will not tell you how to optimize your Windows, you can google it yourself, I will only tell you that you need to install the "Advanced System Optimizer" program, then install it, open it, select the "Full scan" scan type, and then press the button "Start intelligent PC maintenance", and wait, after rebooting we proceed to the last, most effective point.

4. Removing shaders from the game folder
As I already said, in the game settings, you can make simplified shaders, which will increase your FPS, but not enough to play comfortably. In order to really increase your FPS in the game, you need to do the following: open the root folder of the game, then go to the path "Content" - "Shaders", in this folder open the files "2xMultiBlend", "BlurShader", "BrightPass", "CrepuscularShader", "GaussianBlur", "MaskFX_Shader2", "NormalMapFX", "OutlineShader", "reductionEffect", "resolveShadowsEffect", "RippleFX", "SceneBlend", "ShockwaveTest", "StrokeShader", "TintRemovalShader" these files (you need to open it with notepad).
