1060 3gb, xeon x3440, 8gb ozu

Help, trouble, I play, for example, Valhalla, at first everything is ok, after a while the frame rate from 50 drops to 5, only restarting helps, what is the peculiarity: the consumption of the card in the game is ~ 100 watts, with a drop of fps, the consumption is 40-50 watts, the memory frequency and the core does not fall, but stands at its boost values, the card is loaded at 100%, fps is dropped only when the consumption of the video card falls, the processor and card temperatures are normal, there is no throttling, the fsp 350w power supply (real 300 on 12v lines), by means of the assumption and adding up the total consumption is: percent + -100 watts (slight overclocking), a 100 watt card in the game, 120 watts in a lance, + turntables and 50 watt disks, total less than 300 watts, maybe my math is not correct here, included a furmark and aida stress test at the same time, pc works and does not turn off, it means that there is definitely enough power, the frequencies do not jump,Again, there is no throttling, what is the problem, it is not clear how to fix it?

Is the RAM clogged?

At one time I played Odyssey at such a conference, it slowed down on medium ones, and even then - there were 16 GB of RAM. How to play Valhalla on such a computer, I don't quite understand

Until the drawdown, 40-50 frames are stable at medium, the RAM is not enough, but it works end-to-end, it’s important for me to find out the reason why the card consumes less, maybe the power supply unit cannot provide stable power supply watts that should? Well, again, if there was a lack of power, the computer would be cut down ..

from 6GB to 7.3 is hammered, it happens that it starts to slow down exactly when the RAM is clogged by more than 7GB, but even when the card also shoots less with a decrease in consumption, to speed up the process, you can collapse and unfold the game and voila, 6 frames

Install the swap file of the size of the system's choice on ssd as an alternative if there is no second strip for 8 GB of RAM.

I would suspect a mining virus from the above. and it is worth testing other games
because if the card is heavily driven in, there will be a drop in FPS just to 5-10, but with a decrease in the load on the GPU and 100% load on the GPU memory controller.
if the computer has entered the frames, then again the frame time is lengthened and the GPU is not a bottleneck.
if the performance of the cpu is similar,
either it is some kind of specific driver error or just the load of the game, but then the drop in FPS would be relatively deterministic, so it could be said under what game conditions it most likely occurs and in which not.

Installed independently for 10GB

So far, I noticed only in Valhalla and Resident 8, the card is overclocked by automatic overclocking from the autoburner (OS button on the top left), I can't throw off the screen, but I will list: the card's core frequency is ~ 2000, sometimes less or maximum 2012, memory frequency 2100, card loading 99-100%, temperature 70-73, card consumption at the time of the drop is from 40 to 50 watts, the processor is also 50-60 percent of the load before the drop, and at the time of the drop, approximately 30%, the
swap file shows from 10 to 15GB when the drop occurs all values remain at their maximum except for consumption, and what is strange is that the core temperature drops to about 50, although it works at 100%

And yes, the frame time is generally transcendental, 200-300 ms

if a one-time drop in performance lags behind and the FPS sags for a second or a few frames - there may be many different reasons. I would assume something for vidyuhu. and would row it with benchmarks and try to throw it in every possible way. maybe, of course, something with a disk subsystem or memory and the GPU manages to bend the hole, although I did not notice this.
if the manufacturer was high and then became steadily low until the computer was restarted, then this is something to the first described.

So you need to run it in benchmarks until something shows up? Drawdown data in each game session, everything is played normally, then it starts on cutscenes or when you quit the game, only restarting the game helps

then find it difficult to answer. if the GPU is fully loaded, then it has something to do during the sagging. if there is something in the cut scenes, then it may be something within the framework of pzu ozu and vram.
also, some games and applications can slow down if they do not work in full-screen mode (not to be confused with fake full-screen) games can slow down for another second when minimizing unfolding if there is not enough RAM in particular. for example, in Rodions, a cross fire was flying off, it was necessary to set a different resolution and then return the correct one so that the performance returned. I have not researched this question.

Does the performance test run smoothly in the game itself?

Yes, this is because of the RAM for the campaign, at low there is no such thing, everything goes well, but with resident 8 I don't understand, in the game I have 70-80 frames stably, and at moments the frames drop to 8 and that's all until you pass the FPS location will not recover, but this is a problem of the game, I think, so the topic can be closed, thanks all 😅
