Had the temerity to put the 1024x768 results in black screen, power off the monitor. Blind to change back, of course, impossible. The transition to windowed mode, a variety of standard ways(Alt+enter, F4 and compatibility) fails.
What is another way to set/return to standard resolution in homm4?
