Green and red numbers (Stellaris)

Guys, I'm confused with these +/- green and red numbers of amplifiers and attenuators. Who mastered what they mean when?

Green is good for you, red is correspondingly bad.

This means that the buff has one plus and many minuses.

Badly. For example:
"+ 25% race discord" will be red, "-25% race discord" will be green, respectively.
