In the building menu as an enteror, you can assign them to work. (Security is there, or food to grow, perhaps you can send to the arena.)

When you create a new robot, the old one goes to the settlement that you indicated to him. You apparently clicked the menu and sent him to the wrong settlement in which you were.
Will robots dig in the garden if they are appointed, or do they only know how to guard?
Do robots count as settlers (I mean created), does the level of happiness in the settlement depend on them, do they require anything, and do they count as a settler unit or not? list as satellites or not?

There is already a Greygarden. They have no needs. Although they produce food. As for the level of happiness, I don't remember if it changes.
