The effect of armor on magic (Dark Souls 3)
I wanted to ask. Now I play as a sorcerer and constantly run around in the initial armor, thinking that it is most suitable for castes. The question itself: does armor affect spells. For example, the acceleration of casting or damage and everything like that. Or can I safely wear other armor?4 Comments

I might be wrong, but armor only affects movement speed and stamina consumption. Unless, of course, there are any special bonuses in it. Well, of course, protection against different types of damage. Therefore, you can at least put on armor to cast it will be the same.

initial armor, like the vast majority of armor, has no effect on casting. You can even run in armor - if only you have enough physical power.
But there are certain things that I have bonuses. In DS2, it was mostly heads and also gloves.
Regarding DS3, I found Crown of Dawn - it has -30 to magic resistance, but it strengthens spells. Paired with the Ring of the Young Dragon (the sorcerer's starting ring), the enhancement is pretty good.
