Freezes when choosing a character (Dark Souls 3)

Faced such a problem. I start a new game, skip the video, the screen for selecting the characteristics of the character appears. The sound immediately disappears and even calling the task manager does not help.

Comp: Intel core 2, 8 gb ram, gtx 650 ti 2gb, Windows 10 pro.

The freezing problem was solved, set the low settings and everything went. But now it crashes with an error about insufficient memory.
