Do I need FOSE (Fallout 3)
Hello everyone!Do i need fose if i play without mods?
I play on an old weak laptop, because performance is above all, I put Fallout Stutter Remover, it became smoother, but the fps dropped a bit. Do I need it? How are all these changes manifested?
I ask because SKSE for Skyrim has fixed awful full-screen artifacts for me.
If you know something, write down the maximum about this bootloader, what else does it do besides the ability to install mods?
PS Sorry, if a similar topic already exists, I have not found anything suitable, I will not give up the link, if there is.

FOSE (as well as SKSE for Skyrim) does not affect performance in any way, because it was created for a completely different purpose (expanding the scripting language of the game). Although in various forums you can read what influences. If you have not installed any add-ons that require the installation of FOSE, it makes no sense to install it. It can affect performance only if you put some other mod to improve performance on it.
In general, it affects, depending on what kind of iron you have. But as already written above, it has the most effective impact on performance only when there are mods that use the fose functions.
And since you play without mods, then there is no point in putting it.

Okay, thanks for that, good people, I will change the mods / settings and study how it all behaves, because a lot of things also depend on the locations.
UPDATE: By reducing some settings and mods that remove fog, stones, and any unnecessary heresy, it was possible to reduce the processor load from 60-80% to 35-55%, turned off autosaves and downloaded CASM, still pretty playable at 20-30 fps in open areas (30 fps is a cap supplied by FSR)
