The essence is not lost. Established place "suction" of the wing - there is less dust. Then you can attach a snorkel to it.
And most importantly, its surface is much larger than that of the native one and the pipe is wider and shorter. It makes it easier for air to get to the engine. The open case doesn't do much. I didn’t want to immediately — it’s open — not off-road. TRD is the same afe, but in a "poor configuration". I have 2 cones in the kit (wet and dry for dust), a prefilter, a sink and oil for lubrication.
TRD is sold without anything - one cone in the kit and that's it.
