Dashboard — logbook Toyota Corolla 1988
Yes, I know that the topic of reworking the backlight of devices to diode, is SUCKED to the point of impossibility. I decided to lay out the pitfalls for the reason for the alteration, I think the owners of the 90 body will do well.
And since it usually starts with the removal ... the process itself is not interesting
removed and dismantled everything, even remove the devices themselves,
I bought a strip of LEDs (I don’t know the name) 120pcs per 1 meter
when buying, it’s better to take it as narrow as possible, due to the lack of a narrow one, I bought a little wider, after it turned out to be very bad.
Due to the very small space, I had to glue on the end of the plexiglass, and that's where the heat started
the edges are designed for the illumination of the light bulb and have roundings, it is very difficult to glue in this place, and then the shape goes a little to the side, which makes the process very difficult
for the first time in my life I regretted that I had so many devices =) I had to glue each one separately.
The temperature gradually approaches the critical zone =)
Three hours later, I did it all the same =)
no matter how hard I tried, but in the last device I couldn’t stick the tape in such a way that both charging and oil pressure were well highlighted, the result is that the oil pressure is weakly lit =(
if someone decides to do it for themselves, then they need to come up with something different, most likely they will have to remove their native plexiglass and cut out a new one of a different shape, but first I’ll figure out how the dial hand is removed, my attempts did not lead to anything and it was decided to leave everything as there is, otherwise the arrows would have to be glued =)
Issue price: 155 ₽zizu
Hard work, for which my respect! Isn't it too bright? Now the backlight tone cannot be adjusted with a restat? By the way, the code put the tidy cable in place, how did you put it on?)) It’s such a hassle to put on it, when I put the tidy, I was tormented) And it looks like this, according to the modern one! :) Still, the arrows are red)
And you're right about the arrows, right now I'm sitting and thinking, maybe I can take varnish from my wife and experiment a little =)
When I was filming the tidy, I couldn’t unwind this drive, feltings from frost or maybe before that I tightened it a lot, in general, I succeeded on the eighth attempt and with the help of a hammer =)
In terms of brightness, it's normal, for some reason when you take a photo with a fotkaesh, it turns out that way.
As for the cable, pay attention to the connection under the hood, when you remove the tidy, first you unwind the connection and then it easily slides out into the passenger compartment to a normal distance in order to disconnect the plug and the speedometer cable itself.

You need to put a cloth or piece of paper (so as not to scratch the scale) and slip a fork, well, or 2 flat screwdrivers. The arrow is removed, albeit with some effort, which must be applied as close to the axis as possible.
The main thing is to remember the location of the arrow (for example, remembering the extreme positions that it reaches).
Yes, I wanted to disassemble the device itself in order to mat the surface and how to create a more uniform backlight, but the arrows are not removed, but somehow I don’t want to break it off =)
Very good - I liked the idea with the tape, as an accessible and fast way.
I would also take a simple pencil and sandpaper, and slightly reduce the uneven backlighting. Although in real life it is certainly not as noticeable as in the pictures, it's still nice when the backlight uniformity is better than the factory one.
Thanks, but I'm leaning towards the fact that I'll have to remove the arrows and redo it a bit.
A little bright, it's probably from non-vaccination =)
120gr/m - 120pcs per meter, there were 60pcs per meter, but I didn't know the price, it was kind of dumb =)
It turned out great! Doesn’t work on zlaza? Zhen how much money does the tape cost, otherwise I already forgot the prices for them
Got it)) I was on a meteor that weekend, there are a lot of such tapes, but I didn’t recognize the prices.
Today from the window I saw how the tidy shines, I even saw it from the 8th floor))
Thank you)
But you still need to redo it a little, firstly, remove the bluish light filter, secondly, you can’t see it in the photo, but this light filter coating on the dial is not even, but you can see it with dots and with LED glow, well, create a uniform glow.
current do not try to paint arrows! change the mass and then they say wrong. but I couldn’t remove the speedometer needle because everything was adjusted, if I took it off, I wouldn’t put it back.
well, if only we had it somewhere, it was problematic to send to Russia =)
I thought it was easier for you and the Japs to use second-hand
