Automatic transmission — a pleasant surprise :) — logbook Toyota Crown 1991
Oh, for a long time I did not write anything in the BZ, and in the garage I'm not a frequent visitor — it's a pity. but nothing soon this business will trample at an accelerated pace :)
It was not difficult to remove the cordan and the gearshift box, but self-repair, or rather diagnostics, (because according to the previous owner it is normal), I did not dare - I read books, tried to figure it out - and decided yes, well, let them do it professionals.
I naively believed that the boxes on 1G-FE and 1G-GZE are the same - nothing, they even visually differ a lot (sorry there is no photo).
After removing the box — it was shipped and taken to his hometown of Tulun to acquire the old (factory data) specifications. Fortunately, the number of dad's friends allows you to be sure of the quality of the repair.
But there is great news, contrary to the descriptions of this configuration - the box is there (as the master said) - 5-speed - Great!
Further, according to the plans to strip the engine, check, measure, reject and assemble. in general, the project has just begun :)
PS I'm very ashamed of the quality of the photo, but it's a pity to carry my camera with you. so you have to endure photos from your phone ...
I do not remember, when I gave it to me, they told me that it was a cool box! I won't be able to see until I get it...
But the former owner also told me (I didn’t really believe), but the master apparently looked at the marking, but I’ll ask again
