Crash test — logbook Toyota Duet 2003
The European equivalent of the Storia, the Sirion model, successfully passed the crash test in 2002. It was the first car in Euro NCAP history to receive three out of four stars for pedestrian safety. Secondly, in a side collision, almost all areas of the “bodies†of the dummies “suffered†very slightly. But the result in a frontal collision was somewhat blurred by possible serious injuries to the driver's chest - due to the design of the steering column. Children are also at greater risk if a special seat is attached to the front seat. However, as usual, the testers profess a very tough approach. So overall Sirion/Storia's security is above average.
Note that the list of possible vehicle configurations includes frontal airbags, the so-called "curtain" safety, ABS with a built-in force distribution system during heavy braking EBD, shock sensors, automatically unlocking doors.
