Part one. Almost epic delivery of goodies
So, the story with Karina and her repair ended somewhere around the order of the automotive body. It was November 16th. All killed parts of the body (well, as parts — the hood) and optics after a long search for parsing (I called all that were in the GIS) decided to order. I ordered in a wonderful office (no sarcasm!) Autopoisk-Express. It's a pleasure to work with the guys, except for one nuance, which is discussed below. So, I ordered a hood, two headlights and a clearance. It cost 9,500. I left an advance payment of 3,000 and began to wait for the declared 18 days - the order should have been brought from Vladik. What was my surprise when three days later the operator called and said that the order can be picked up. With great joy, headlong flying through the whole city (to Mega, they have a warehouse there) to pick up iron and … I was surprised to learn that they brought only the hood. The headlights haven't arrived yet. To the question to the operator girl who called me, "why did they say that they had brought everything?" I get the ingenious answer "yes? oh ... well, I don't know. I don't look at the composition of the order." Okay, God bless her, most importantly lucky with the hood — it's perfect in color. Then the fun began - they came behind the hood on the same Karina. No matter how hard they tried, he did not want to get into either the trunk or the cabin. I had to give it back to the warehouse and return with nothing, so that after a week and a half, when the headlights with the clearance had already been brought, I would return for it already on the Volga. But even here it is not fate: it does not enter anywhere. Again I had to leave and the next day to puzzle over how to take him away. There was an option again on Karina but on the roof (here I express special gratitude for the help to a good person, Mr. Yes? oh… well, I don't know. I don’t look at the composition of the order. Part two. Features of garage repair. Kulibins and what they eat with.
I drove to a fairly good chiropractor for repairs - I saw how he made several cars. Liked. In general, for all the work (together with painting the hood and everything) he asked for 10,000. But after learning that the hood was also in color, he almost halved the price. True, I refused to paint at all - so far it’s not worth it, in my opinion. When I do everything, then I’ll paint it, he has it. So, 5,000 and four days of work. Beginning - December 5th.
In the process of work, the deadlines were mercilessly postponed and the car was picked up only a week later. More precisely, how to pick up ... Accept a job.
I arrived at the appointed time for Karina - the body is even, everything is removed, puttied, straightened and delivered. The only thing — there were traces of the bumper on the paint and a little flaky wing (also from impact). And everything else is like from the factory! Even chewed up TV leveled. A smooth new hood and a well-placed hood lock give a cool effect - the lid closes easily, with such a signature Toyota sound. In general, work on "excellent". In the appendage, they just changed the candles and made the terminals on the battery. I start the car. to kick out of boxing - miracles, it won't start. Doesn't start at all. Doesn't spin with starter. The battery is the most alive, the lights are on, nothing knocks out, the starter relay clicks, but the starter itself does not turn. That's half the trouble. The main thing is that the turn signals and emergency lights do not work. And at times, when the ignition is on, the engine is not running, something is cracking somewhere, just like after an accident. The car had to be left until Monday - then an electrician would look at it and everything would be decided there.
Part three. Fight with an invisible enemy
On Monday, I called the master - he said that it was necessary to clean the retractor on the starter, which, in fact, they did. But the turn signals have not been sorted out.
What can happen to them? Broken wire? Blown fuse? Relay dead? Everything can be. But I excluded the wiring, because. nothing worked at all, but the relay could click from time to time when you turn on the emergency gang or turn, although the lights do not light up either on the panel or on the car.
Before picking up Karina, I drove into Avtograd bought fuses of different ratings and looked for a relay - I didn’t find it.
Having already driven the car home, I began to look for fuses and relays ... I don’t know which Japanese pervert designed the layout of the boxes, but it’s something! There are 3 fuse boxes in the car: one under the hood (there are fuses for EFI / CI, charger, interior lighting, etc., plus several relays related to the engine), the second box is under the driver’s right foot (there are a lot of fuses of different purpose, mainly light, glass, mirrors and (finally!) the fuse for the turn signals, which turned out to be intact), the third box is generally under the front panel deep inside near the steering column (judging by the description, there are fuses for the dashboard backlight, ashtrays and something else). In addition to fuse boxes, relay blocks are scattered throughout the car - under the trim to the left of the passenger's left leg (signal relay, heater), next to the second fuse box - the power window relay, the desired turn signal relay, the headlight relay and something else, next to the radiator in a separate box - the fan and conder control relay ... In general, thousands of them. I'm writing from memory, so I might be wrong.
But back to our turn signals. Finding out that the fuses are intact, I had to believe that this is a relay. I started looking for it, I think I found it. I listened - the crackling on the ignition is coming from just that area. And now about its location. In the diagram, everything is just such and such a relay, located there. In practice: the bend of the panel, where the right air duct is located on the glass, in this very bend, on a board dangling on snot under a pigtail of wires as thick as a finger, there is the desired part covered with frost and closed on all sides by other relays and connectors. To get there without removing the panel, you just need to have wonderful plasticity and flexibility. To pull out this unfortunate relay, it seems that you still need to remove the panel. Yes, another nuance - without a sample, they don’t want to be sold to sell relay. They say that they are generally different and the OEM number does not suit them at all. In general, I think what to do. I'll probably go to an electrician tomorrow.
Epilogue
The car starts with a bang, rides better than before (apparently, the effect of good candles). The headlights went with good bulbs — blue halogens. Little things, but nice. Shine on the near - as before the distant shone. I haven't checked it yet, but it looks like the headlights are adjusted to our realities. And this miracle stands in the yard and does not go because of the relay for 300 rubles.
Nothing, it's just a second breath. Soon there will be a third, and then she will breathe, breathe and return to a full life. With trips of ladies without a license for cookies and cakes, taking children to and from school. To the university ... and traffic jams, traffic jams, traffic jams. The truth is already warm and with good music.

I already thought about driving this way, but the main routes go through busy places, and taking into account the current traffic jams, the turn signals are just salvation and the minimum guarantee of the safety of the car :)
And I found some iron, by the way. Wings and the right driver's door are in the Gran Auto. But soon, very soon. It needs to be fixed before the new year.
