Liquids - Toyota Solara, 2.4 liter, 2003
Replaced: automatic transmission oil (Valvoline ATF T-IV) with filter, coolant (Agip Antifreeze Extra), power steering fluid (ATF IID) ... The oil in the box has never been changed, and the levels of antifreeze and power steering were for some reason below acceptable anyway, I'll keep an eye on them.
For everything 680000 Bel. rubles or $225, of which work - 252,000 ($83). Damn, I haven’t started driving properly yet, but it’s already leaving so much, despite the fact that the fluids are not original ...
On the forums, people argue whether it makes sense to change the oil in an automatic transmission? Given that the manufacturer claims not to do this. Only if the vehicle is operated in special conditions, such as increased dustiness or constant driving with a trailer.
Just a Toyota publicity stunt? Or maybe she is counting on the sale of new cars or boxes to replace broken ones? Or vice versa, third-party car services call for changing the oil and more often just because they make money on it. Well, I hope it doesn't get worse.
In the evening I took Solara, it seemed that she began to go softer and smoother. Or maybe it's just self-hypnosis, a placebo effect.
By the way, today for the first time I left at the rush hour, twice. In the morning at 8 and in the evening back at 18, and it was already dark. Another adventure. Even so, it's better than the bus. Another plus is that if suddenly somewhere you are not sure how to do it, do it like everyone else.
