Journey to the center of the nozzles. — Toyota Carina ED, 2.0 liter, 1997
I must say right away, N-I-K-O-G-D-A, do not do this, because this is hell or something very close to it! =)
After buying a car and in the absence of a complete understanding of its condition, it was decided to clean the nozzles. The case, judging by past cars, is not tricky, but there were articles on the Internet only about cleaning without removing it, and at that time this method seemed much more hemorrhagic than removing and cleaning (that's an idiot). We started to disassemble (unfortunately, I can’t write a comment on each photo, since there will be nothing but “unscrew this thing, and then thatâ€, so they will simply reflect the degree of immersion depth), at first there was a lot of enthusiasm and interest, because everyone was interested in seeing the 3S-GE from the inside, but after 2 hours of constantly unscrewing everything in a row, it was no longer fun, and the nozzles were visible only in theory. During the removal process, everything was thoroughly cleaned and wiped, and now, after more than 3 hours, the nozzles were in our hands and, oh, horror! They are absolutely clean! At that moment, I wanted to cry, because the floor of the hood was dismantled in front of you and, in fact, all efforts were in vain. The assembly process was also not fast and we finished in the dark. It took about 6 hours for everything, then there was no strength =)
As a result, we can say that even in the absence of any effect and changes, they tried not in vain, because in the process they looked at the condition of the engine and everything is in order with it, and this cannot but rejoice. It turns out that before me they followed the car and did it well, which is good, there should be no surprises. And once again, I highly do not recommend doing this on your own, those 1000-2000 rubles in the service are more than worth it =)
So we did it together, I remember :) Especially the high-tech process of washing nozzles in six hands, accompanied by continuous cursing :)
On a sprinter, everything was lighter and cheaper by 2 times, but the return was completely different =)
When you told me, I didn’t think that everything was so complicated :) On a sprinter, compared to ED, it’s just like 2 fingers on the asphalt)
