Front stabilizer struts — logbook Toyota Avensis 1998
After replacing the rear struts and stabilizer bushings, the rear axle began to contrast in comfort with the front, so I decided to change the front ones as well. I purchased a set of eternal racks according to the old scheme through Mikhail Ivanovich (White Gus, carina-e.ru/viewtopic.php?t=3488 ). I cut the bushings myself. When unscrewing the native racks, both upper nuts were unscrewed well, and the lower ones had to be cut off. Also, when removing the right wheel, it was found that the steering rack boot collar had come off.
Mikhail refused to change the bushings, citing the need to lower the subframe on the lift.
A set of front stabilizer struts (1100 rubles, Belovezh-techno avtolink.ru)
Norma metal worm clamp (13 rubles, Auto-49)
Work (950 rubles, Mikhail)
And you wanted to change it yourself… By the way, you had a collar, it just fell off, why did you change it?
Quote: (they have been ordered on the forum for two years already). Tell me, on what forum and according to what scheme, with whom to contact?
No one knows how much better they are than the original, it is only known that they are much cheaper. The manufacturer writes about higher durability avtolink.ru/stoiki/index.html. On my Avensis, they still didn’t go far (only 1500 km.), But among those carinoes who installed these racks, no one has yet unsubscribed that they had to be changed (they have been ordered on the forum for two years already). How the car behaves in comparison is difficult to say, because. I had dead stabilizer bushings, and after replacing the bushings and struts, the suspension became softer and quieter
