Starter or?.. — Toyota Paseo, 1.5 liter, 1997
It was like this - I returned from school in the evening, it was somewhere on the street -5. left, a thaw in the morning, sleet snowed half the night, the car was covered in ice.
I twist the key - there is no reaction, the starter didn’t even give a look ...
I think because of the thaw, the condensate sat down and froze ...
It was +1 all day. in the evening everything is the same …
The next day I picked it up on a cable, the whole parking lot is in snow and ice, Citramon turns its wheels and does not pull.
Fortunately, all the houses were)) 2 pushed and Citramon pulled and wound up. I went to the garage, warmed up, I thought I would start up, but no … well, now 100% starter skiff.
That same evening I spent 3 hours in the garage removing it (for some reason, there are no instructions for removing it in the book)
I took it off somehow, disassembling it on the go ... I immediately saw 2 starter brushes erased to zero and 2 almost intact
. I took it to a service, where they made it in 15 minutes and 110 thousand (you can’t find this used, but it cost 40ue from the Corolla)
Another 2 hours trying to put it in place) Started up the first time fortunately)
Issue price: 1,100 ₽ Mileage: 141,000 kmIf everything had grown together, I would have hit the road with a starter ...))))
I was no less upset ... but life can turn around sharply and I will still buy it)))))
